Enough about all the false denizens of the deep. We all know that the mole people live there, right next to the mushroom people.

That's what I'm saying!  Southern Ocean? I even took Oceanography in college and might have the Antarctica Service Medal.  Apparently this idea was drafted in 2000 and accepted by National Geographic in 2021 while everyone was distracted by covid.  I don't accept this.

It's literally just the waters just outside the Antarctica coastlines and bays.

This 6th "ocean" is 100% bullshit.

This is not news.  We have known for decades that subducted plates carry a LOT of water with them.  The water actually lowers the melting temperature of rock, which is one of the primary reasons that subduction zones are characterized by lots of volcanic activity (see: Ring of Fire.)

It’s also what provides the Explosive characteristics to Yellowstone and other similar volcanos.

Genesis 7:11
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open

Stephen Baxter did a couple of novels about this, with the water somehow being freed from the minerals and flooding the planet.

Since they are calling it an ocean I assume it’s saltwater.
Because if not one of those could be the source of those underground aquifers.
