[PAUL] Good thing this only happens in California [/PAUL] |

Like I said, every state will have this law in the near future. Once every state has one it's only a matter of time before they figure out how to use it to mass confiscate.

Na sayers beware.
It may go nowhere today but tomorrow (and the not to distant future) is what I'm worried about. The amount of commies moving in from california, new york, washington, oregon and new jersey is disheartening |

I thought Texas was gonna succede not too long ago....
What happened? No balls anymore? |

Why do I suddenly see encounters like this in the future for this country..

Texas is known as a “gun-friendly” state, but two El Paso Democrats, Rep. Joe Moody, and Sen. Jose Rodriguez, plan to change that with the “red-flag” bill.
The bill would go farther than family members reporting a gun owner for making threats. According to the bill evidence of substance abuse or the recent acquisition of firearms and ammunition would be grounds for firearms confiscation. Rodriguez calls the proposed bill as “sensible legislation,” but it will face an uphill battle. The Texas Republican Party has made the opposition of “red-flag” laws part of their party’s platform. With the Republicans in control of the Texas Legislature, it seems unlikely that this bill would reach Gov. Greg Abbotts desk. View Quote |

So buying guns would be grounds for flagging you to take your guns.

It's not going anywhere but these red flag laws are dangerous although they appear innocuous on the surface to many folks.

5th amendment violation, and people need to start suing.
Anyone can file a PO against anyone and it is granted based on NOTHING that can be verified unless investigators do their jobs. |

This thread shows who does not understand that any member can introduce any bill. That doesn't mean anything. Just like when a GOP member introduces an anti-abortion bill.

Texas will turn Blue. When it does, the Republic will be lost.

LOL
I would like to see how they plan to get Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick to consider ANY gun control. |
