When did the stupid 'Participation Trophy' mentality/philosophy begin? I know it wasn't really a thing as a Gen X'er in HS. All the PC stuff, is what's been leading up to ever more idiocy, pushing for the "everyone is equal/perfect", "no snowflake should feel inadequate" stuff. Gone are the days of pushing to excel. Now striving for excellence is viewed as a negative (oh, unless it's certain people, in which case, the MSM will make them famous). For the wrong people, it's just unequal privilege, not only unworthy of compliments, but deserving of denigration.
