Except the libs haven't done that for the past 50 years...............

And you do know everyone is tongue in cheek and you don't see them calling into the goobenor telling him to call the deputy and tear up the ticket.

Is your last name Lerner by any chance?

thru some recent experience, I can tell you driving a 2017 BMW 7 series at triple digits feels no different than driving at the speed limit.

Clearly she's a fair judge:

In a statement FOX News Channel’s Judge Jeanine Pirro said, “I had been driving for hours to visit my ailing 89-year-old mom and didn’t realize how fast I was driving. I believe in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences.”

That's because the people we dislike usually aren't held accountable for their actions in the first place and would have hissy fits if someone dared expect it of them.

Can you imagine Hiltard accepting getting a speeding ticket for example?

That's west of Binghampton, near the Pennsylvania border. In other words, the middle of nowhere. Only place in NY that has less people is the northway between Albany and Canada.

If you can't tell that you're doing 115 on a city street you need to stop driving.

50-55 in a 40?  Sure, I can buy that.

115 in a 50 (or whatever) is a little harder to miss.

ETA - Sounds like the cop let her off easy.  That has to be an arrestable offence in the People's Republic of NY.
Her speeding ticket is returnable to Town of Nichols court either by mail or in person on Jan. 8. Pirro was only cited for speeding.
Even if it was on interstate next to the town that's at least 50 over the limit (65 max the interweb says).

Last Cadillac I drove Cut out at 105 so it’s hard to tell but in West Texas it is easy to not notice how fast you are driving.

One time on vacation my mom was driving and I noticed  she was going about 110 and told my dad, he said be quiet she’s making good time.

Wife may have asked me to wring out her BMW 540I many years ago. Smooth as silk it was. My good friend pulled me over ( about two miles later) and asked me to keep it under 165. Birthday girl was impressed since she was an NHRA Super Comp driver and I`d never been over about 110. Her ride was 8.22@ 166 mph.

Well, I think speed limit laws are "broken". And tax laws. And gun laws.

This is what I'm trying to figure out. I could have sworn 119mph is an automatic reckless driving/taking the keys away. That's almost twice the legal limit. But like you said, even 25mph+ over the limit is an automatic reckless driving charge.

Long ago when I had a Porsche 928S I was driving at night. The speedometer had a bad habit of sticking. Speed limit was 55 back then and I set the cruise at 65 mph. The car drove very smooth on the highway and it was not until I made a city that normally takes 30 minutes to get to in 10 I got suspicious. Just then the speedometer broke loose and read 155 mph!

New cars are really smooth, and fast.  If she just got it (2017 Caddy according to the article), it's possible she was going way faster than she realized.
