It looks just like a lot of the water tanks we have on the lower hills all over.
I wonder if this guy is a serious prepper? I’m talking about the round part with the suspended slab. It looks like it’s attached to the house. Attached File |

That would be an extremely shitty foundation for a tank. Looked closer I’m guessing that’s vapor barrier turned up the stem wall. But it’s still only a 6-8” cap on the wall. It’s won’t support a tank that size. |

Looks more like he’s just going to have some kind of round tower facade thing.
Probably gonna be shaped like dildos, little mermaid castle style. You’ll be charged a view tax soon for the pleasure of looking at them. |

is it common when building a house in utah to have a damn crane?

Your property value is either going way up or way down depending on how this goes OP.

Swiveling gun emplacement. This is the beginning of a new Maginot Line to keep out Californians.

View Quote If the house is big enough, it'll pay for itself - structural steel/large beams/lifting 2 story walls etc. When I did residential I worked for a guy who bought a boom truck and we used the hell out of it every chance we got - pre-made the roof gable ends and hoisted them into place rather than doing the work 2+ stories up / hoisting all the roof sheeting / studs and sheets for the 2nd floor etc. It was a huge time saver. |

Why in the world do you think that's a water tank? It's round?

I’m going to say owner is a mad scientist and he is de-extincting some kind of dinosaur by combining dna from avian glue infected chickens.

I don't think so, because he's put water proofing material on the outside to keep it dry on the inside.

Funny.. Utah no.... alpine lots going for 1-2 mill for 2 acres.... funny shit... no to the NOPE!

We used to have a huge water tank under the house.
But it wasn’t round. It was rectangular. |

probably just gonna be a design choice, like the others said maybe some kind of tower, probably just a round porch though imo.
Made a ton of curved railings on foundations just like that one |

Boxing ring, rookie didn’t know it was supposed to be square.
