Worst:
1) “The Man With The Golden Gun”
2) “Die Another Day”
3) “Another Way To Die”
4) “Live and Let Die” (The GnR cover sounded a lot better)
5) “We Have All The Time In The World”

I don’t think this is there yet.

I think the Craig Bond tenure has been excellent.  He's my fav Bond, and that's saying a lot.  There hasn't been a more athletic Bond - it's not even close. This translates to action that's never been seen before in the entire franchise.  It's been  fantastic.  In addition, I've liked the story lines - especially the continuity.

YMMV

I agree 100%. And, as for the ignorant comment that "There hasn't been a more athletic Bond - it's not even close,"  Connery was in the Royal Navy and was a body builder and even competed in body building competitions. He was no slouch, unlike Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby, or even David Niven, who played Bond in the movie "Casino Royale."

Connery will always be the classic Bond, However Craig's portrayal seemed to be the closest to the  Flemming books Bond's persona.

I bet the 'rumor' was true, but they changed it due to the large outcry from Bond fans.  When the rumor first went out about the new 007, was there any denial from the film makers?  None that I recall.  I don't think the movie was financed by SJW types and they (people financing the movie) actually demanded a return on their investment.  They knew if the movie tanked because of trying to push a black female 007, it could mean the end to series.  The Bond fans won over the SJW crowd this time.  Of course the movie creators will claim it was their plan all along to keep 007 a man.

If I recall correctly, there is usually silence regarding a new Bond movie up until about a year from release.  There have been plenty of rumors in the past that went unanswered or unaddressed.  Anyone remember the interview with Craig that got taken out of context?  Eon didnt really address it. Rumors swirled.  Idris Elba was declared to be the best replacement for Craig.  Then we got Spectre.

Barbara Broccoli isnt going to cook the goose that has laid 24 golden eggs.  All of the speculation is just that.  To change the formula for James Bond would be to appease the assholes who never would have been viewers anyway.  And it would alienate 80%(my guess) of the Bond fanbase.  If it happens, there will not be a following film.  It will be Ocean's 8 or the grrl-power Ghostbusters all over again.

You should hear some of the rejected songs that were auditioned for Bond films.  Some are absolutely awful.  I think Guns n Roses actually performed one was declined.  There is a Bond podcast that played a bunch of them.  Some were hilariously bad.

I discovered her music after hearing her on FM radio (why did I even have that on?) a month or two ago.  I had assumed she was just zoomer shit but holy shit she’s fantastic.

And the song IS perfect for Bond. Dark, moody, (briefly) violent, but subtle and mysterious. It’s Fleming’s 007.  Adele killed it with Skyfall too.

I’ve loved the direction that the series has taken with the Craig films, even if QoS and and Spectre fell short of my expectations (with Skyfall being very good but also a distant second to CR).  I fell in love with Bond of Fleming’s Casino Royale when I was a teenager and marveled at how different it was from the Bond of any of the movies up until that point and Craig has definitely been a more modern interpretation of THAT 007.

That has to be the most apt GIF reply in the history of GD!

That said, I'll probably go see it...or DL it...depends. I'll wait for reviews when it hits theaters. I also agree that Craig is probably the best Bond so far. The rest were too...civilized? Craig's character is more visceral, violent and less full of shit.

The problem with Statham is that he’s typecast. He can’t be Bond because he really is only capable of playing Jason Statham.

I've been listening to her singles on spotify for the past 3 weeks. "Bad Guy" is one of my favorite songs from the year right next to Post Malone and Ozzy's "Take What You Want" IMO, and it has a sick beat.

I can't figure that Billie Eilish kid out. I've listened to about 7 or 8 songs, watched the vids, and for me ... they all sound the same and she just mumble-talks her way through. Not a lot of variety or range there at all.

I don't get the appeal. Is it the lyrics? Is it her face? What am I missing here?

I suspect it's because she's one of the very few these days that aren't "corporate generated" musicians. I think her and her brother write their own material. So the appeal is that it is original - and that's rare now.
Wife has a Pandora station for her - some interesting stuff plays in the barn (only place I'll allow Alexa) on the weekends.

Her music is trash. Unlistenable. Dunno why they picked her, there's plenty of good pop artists. One of the few genres that have gotten better IMO in this modern era

Most of the stuff she's put out was written by her and her brother in his bedroom when she was 13-16. She's got a lot of time to develop her range.

How to write a Bond theme:

*Slow piano intro*

*Vocals come in that make you picture a model slowly exiting a pool at night*

*slow build*

*Orchestra comes in*

*8 vocal tracks now!*

*CRESCENDO*

*quick drop off*

*piano and vocal outro*

'No Time to Die’ Runtime Marks the Longest James Bond Movie Ever

https://collider.com/no-time-to-die-runtime/

Regal Cinemas has seemingly revealed the runtime for No Time to Die, and it looks like Daniel Craig‘s last ride as James Bond will be the longest 007 movie ever. At two hours and 43 minutes, director Cary Fukanaga‘s action flick will officially top Spectre‘s 148 minutes, leaving every single person in this movie an almost exorbitant amount of time to die. You could watch Quantum of Solace and then comfortably die in 163 minutes.

And yes, Craig Bond is best Bond.  Casino Royale is the best Bond by a mile, and Skyfall is not far behind.  Spectre and Quantum of Solace were kinda meh, but still better than most of the older ones (which have not aged well, film making has come a long way).  I will see this one.  Originally hadn't planned for the theater, but now....
