I just realized something.

The last 5 vehicles I've owned have been white.

Guess I'm racist.

For everyone involved. He managed to get what he was choking on up and out, but then he began coughing up blood. We took the ride to the hospital just for that, as I didn't know whether he had tracheal damage and damn sure didn't want his throat swelling closed from the trauma while I was driving to the ER.

The amberlamps made a 30 minute drive in about 10 when they got the call that the imp was choking and couldn't speak or cough.
Those 10 minutes must have been a lifetime.

My mom is pretty banged up.  Busted lip, black eye, scrapes and cuts on both hands and a swollen jaw.
She knocked about half the tip off one of her front two teeth, the other was shoved up in her jaw until about 1/3 of it was visible.  The two ones on the outer edges of the front two were also shoved up a bit.
So one tooth had to be rebuilt, one had to be pulled out of her jaw and into place.  The other surrounding two had to be pulled down only a small bit and all four anchored into place.

She literally face planted into the highway.  She almost got ran over, so did the dog.

Dog is in lockup and isn't happy about it.  We start with a trainer on 3/3 for private lessons.  I'm a bit irritated as I'd already told her NOT to let the dog out at all until the leash was attached in the kitchen.  Instead, she put them on the porch and tried to leash them.  Scarlett got past her and ran out the door and into the highway.

This whole event took a strange turn. The PD showed up pretty quickly. Asked me what I saw when I got there.

Turns out there was a burglary in the early hours of Sunday. The burglars destroyed the home and took most everything of value as well as strange items like family pictures.

The dogs were in their kennels. The burglars took the dogs and tied them up at the end of the road and left them to die until i found them. That being said the dogs had been outside for over 24 hours.

There is a lot more derp that goes with the story that I am omitting due to the investigation.

The owner was beyond grateful and was crying when reunited. It was my good deed for the day even if it was just sheer luck.

It was scary, but CPR training kicked in, and I was calm as could be. Nightmares later, but 100% in control at the time.

Smaller than a Dane by a bit.

Danes average 28-34" at the shoulder, 99-200 lbs. Borzoi are 26+" at the shoulder (28" minimum for dogs), 60-115 lbs.

Height-wise there may not be too much difference, especially if comparing a Borzoi dog and a Dane bitch, but Borzoi are much, much lighter built.

Probably get $400 or a little better out of it with patience.  Otherwise probably safe to assume $300-350 on Gunbroker or something similar.

ETA:  Didn't notice the split in the handguard before.  $350 or so would probably be a good bet.

Wife and I were out earlier and we needed a quick/late bite for lunch. The only thing in the shopping plaza were at was a taco bell and my wife questions, 'Dare we?'

Now, we literally had not stepped foot in a taco bell in about 10 years and I told her it was going to let us down (rest assured it did ) but we went in anyways.

We sit down at a table to eat and I come to the stark realization that I'm infringing no Melvin's turf

I thought I was going to end up in a throw down with some pimple faced, acne ridden, dork
