FS2000 Nice long range bolt gun Silancers SBR's |

I did the AK thing before I did the AR thing so I'm good on that front.
I do like my roller lock guns, though I traded away my MP5 clone so all I have left are .308 varieties. I do need to pick up an Evo. I also have a micro galil kit that needs to be built, and I'm probably going to get at least one full size Galil built with it, and maybe pick up an ACE too. Beyond that I've always been more of a handgun shooter than rifles, so I might go new directions there. Revolvers, maybe. |
|
I just picked up an ACR and plan on getting a scar or a b&t next. And I'm picking up a M1A at the first of the year also.

|
I'll give PSA a chance with their MP5 a month or two after they are released as long as it is under $1200 as projected.

Given Poll Options, I had to vote roller Lock /HK ... Although I've been focused on NFA, precision guns, and tactical shotguns recently.
AKs are garbage blasters whose biggest attribute is that they're built so sloppily, dirt can't get in the way even if it wanted to. And Pistol Caliber Carbines are stupid... Hey, look at how my gun is impracticably large despite having nearly identical ballistics as a handgun that costs 1/3 as much and is 20X easier to actually conceal and keep with you. But it looks cool so " For fuck's sake... buy a real SMG or go be poor somewhere else. |

I waffle. I more or less buy firearms to fill roles.
Precision rifle filled by a pair of Sako TRG’s in .308 and .338... DMR filled my an LMT MWS with 16” & 20” .308 barrels and a 20” 6.5 CM barrel... Short Range arms filled by various SBR and pistol AR’s and a Benelli M4 Mid range rifles include many AR and AK carbines... Plinking firearms... CZ452’s, Ruger MK3, Ruger 10/22 all suppressed... Etc. However some stuff I sort of want just to own. Some gaps and wants I have in my collection are: A longer range AR (probably a 6.5 Grendel SPR build with an old school PRI tube) Subgun clone (will probably be a full size MP5 clone or TP-9N) A .50 cal (will go M82 some day) A few hunting rifles (a pair of CZ 550FS’s in 6.5 Swede and 9.3x62 Mauser) HK USP-T .45 (for some reason I want another host) A nice over under shotgun (probably a Citori) A newer piston 5.56 SBR (thinking B&T APC .223) And a CZ Bren 2 since I disliked the SCAR and want a folding .308 battle rifle still) This pair wiped me out from gun buying for a few years when I bought them... I didn't see the point of pistol caliber carbines/semi-auto SMG look-alikes, until I did plate rack drills with them.
Now I'm ready to devote some serious effort and resources to getting one, suppressed, with what I want. Been watching as many reviews comparing them all: What's my favorite 9mm SBR? |

I kinda want a Benelli M4, if I can find a nice one FTF.
I haven't bought a gun on paper in years No “gotta haves” right now. |
|
Next up for me is an SP01, then I'm thinking maybe a lever gun. Either threaded 357 marlin to run suppressed with 38 subs or a 45-70

I just really love ARs and their adaptability. For non-AR stuff, I just sold a Tavor X95 and a Scorpion EVO. I tried to like both of them. The EVO was actually really nice and functioned flawlessly. However, compared to my MPX, it was just too loud suppressed, which I guess is due to being blowback. Some people might not mind, but I just ended up leaving it home all the time. If you can swing an MP5, apparently those suppress well. It's on my list. MPX is great, but the cost of the gun plus the other hundreds of dollars of additional money required to configure it how I wanted it isn't something I can really recommend. It is pretty sweet, though. And even supersonic ammo sounds ok where we shoot (in the desert out by Tooele, etc).
Attached File The X95 just didn't really fit anywhere in my collection to justify tying up the money. Too short and awkward to use with a bipod in prone, too heavy to want to put anything other than a micro red dot on top. I don't need 16" ballistics indoors and my suppressed 300blk is shorter than the X95. Also longer than comfortable LOP. Your short Grendel would do everything an X95 would do but better and lighter weight. A dedicated suppressed .22lr is always a fun addition to the fold if you don't already have one. SCARs are overpriced. And front heavy. Meh. They do run exceptionally smooth, but probably not worth it over an AR. I'm planning to put together a poor man's Q Mini Fix by SBR'ing a 300blk Ruger American Ranch rifle that takes AR mags and chopping it down to 10" and throwing a red dot and IR laser on top. I also have a Marlin 45-70 that will get chopped down for my Hybrid can at some point. It's lower on the priority list. I've thought the HK-ish rifles in 556 would be cool. There's a guy on here that put together a 300blk HK from a receiver recently. Seems cool. Maybe you could find a Grendel barrel and build the world's first 6.5 Grendel HK 93. |

Inert rifle grenades. There's a design in the DD forum that looks promising. Shot a friends M203 and realized spigot launched projectiles are a lot of fun for a lot less trouble.
Otherwise upgraded optics and NV and Thermal. The CMMG Guard radial delayed blowback 9mm upper also has appeal. If that works out I'll stop looking for an in-state MP5 or Sterling deal. |
|
I’d like to pick up another Colt LE6920 which would make #4. Which would give me a total of 6 with the two PSA 10.5” pistol AR’s.
And would like a CZ Scorpion. |
|
I've sort of gotten into the old west stuff... again. Sadly I just don't have the money right now.
|
|
PSA MP5 pistol (then SBR it) when those are released, assuming they aren't garbage.
AK SBR. |
|
To properly answer this I would need more than .95 AR and .20 AR, (incomplete builds), but I do say Other - I have a BREN 805 carbine, and want a BREN 805 pistol, BREN 2 carbine, BREN 2 pistol and the big daddy, me wanna BREN BR in 308. However, I can't sell that much blood plasma in a single lifetime.

Nunchakus and shurikens. And maybe some of those ninja climbing claws for my hands, and tabi boots.

Honestly? I've been prototyping lowers. Aside from that, maybe making a buildup 22?

After scoring an Ohio National Guard 870, my interest in shotguns (and guns in general) has somewhat been renewed. Now I'm thinking of taking one of my other trade-in 870s (keeping my ONG 870 original) and putting it to some use to get an idea of what I'd like in a HD type shotgun and set it up that way.

AK’s can be fun too. The SLR-104UR’s are the last factory built AK-74’s still available...and they’ll likely climb in price since everything else has dried up. I just picked one up after going a few years without a 74 (everyone needs one AK-47 and one AK-74 at least).
Attached File Will soon look like this: Attached File |

I'm on an AK kick. Now I'm eyeballing a Galil Ace. But I'm really split between 5.56 or 7.62x39. I have tons of ammo and mags for either choice.

Better hurry with the FS2000. They're only going to grow in price and demand while FN has stopped production. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

No new platforms/calibers. I'm very satisfied with my guns at this point and am entering that time of life when you begin to figure out who is getting what out of your gun safe, or maybe when to start selling a few. For you whippersnappers under 70, I guess you're still curious about some new toy or other but it hasn't been that long for me since I really settled down with my two ARs as far as configuration, ammo and accuracy. I really like shooting both of them and enjoy hitting what I'm aiming at. I feel the same way about the one AK left, an AMD65. Pistols I definitely have in abundance and really need to cull some out.

I am truly jam packed and out of room. Not all AR's though.

Get into cowboy guns. I bring mine every outing. Cimarron SAA 45’s, Winchester’s and Marlins. Easy shooting, historic, accurate, makes you say Murcia before each shot.

I don't "collect" firearms, so there is no real imperative to get anything in particular.
But quiet pistol cal stuff is fun and practical for certain things. |

@OIF_Vet08-09 What is the market like for Finnish Mosins right now? I never was looking to collect them, but ended up with 2 so far that fell into my lap: m/28 and an m/28-30 View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Been getting into mil-surps this year to diversify my collection. Bought an Arisaka, Swedish M38, German K98, and two of the ONG shotguns to go along with a couple Mosins. Working on getting a bolt action completely rebuilt, and building a .300BLK pistol. I would say my current direction is good condition mil-surps/collectible firearms. Like to get them while they are still relatively cheap. What is the market like for Finnish Mosins right now? I never was looking to collect them, but ended up with 2 so far that fell into my lap: m/28 and an m/28-30 I think they are just 91/30, nothing special. My dad gave them to me so I have no idea on the current market for them. |
