I bought an oboe today, used but refurbished/tuned to the point where it makes the right noises, student grade (intermediate is next, then professional for about 10x the price)…… could have got 2 to 3 basic PSA ARs instead. |

She had better use it.
When she gives up or gets good enough for a better one we can sell it for what we paid. Better than renting a crappier one for $40/month. |

My DARPA XM3 kit almost 100%. Was able to get a few of the unicorn parts as well including a correct walker trigger, gen 1 legacy suppressor with correct F0 prefix serial number, S marked action close to the range used on the issued guns along with some surplus marked NF rings and issued spec glass. Just need that blue SK T30 78030 Torx wrench for the tool kit that seems to be unobtainable so if you have one let me know!! Also a pvs 22 will be added soon hopefully.

So here’s the deal. I’m going to a barrel chambering class in the coming months and I’m going to be able to choose a barrel blank and cartridge in which to chamber it. I have two actions currently that would be good candidates. One is a 700Ti short action with a .308 bolt face. The other is a 700 stainless long action with magnum bolt face. I’m thinking maybe a “short” (22”) barreled 7PRC or a 7prcw (6.5PRC necked up to 7mm) which would require a new bolt or modifications to the current one which I could do. This would be primarily a deer rifle, but I think the ability to kill an elk would be nice.
Thots? |

And in other news, I seen to have gotten a $1 bump on my paycheck.
What should I spend this unaccounted for windfall on? |

Gotta go to the SILs place today. She wants under cabinet lighting installed in the kitchen . After I’m done with that she’s getting new countertops and then I’ll have to go back and install a new backsplash.

And the pay was 6 king sized milky way candy bars. At least she bought her own oil and filter. I think. My wife may have.
