Well, their deer are the size of German Shepherds, so...

Not as small as coastal deer, get bigger the further west you go.  A 220lb buck is a really big deer here.

The people who owned this house before us put that shitty textured paint on the deck.  It's started peeling so I'm removing it so I can sand the wood and then stain it properly.  The spots where is isn't peeling are sticking so hard that a pressure washer won't remove it.   The only thing I've found that works is to heat it with a weed burner torch and scrape it.

I would like to kick the previous owner in the dick.

We can't take deer with anything under .230" in hunting season, but we can on a destruction permit. A 22-250 is absolutely devastating and impressed me a lot. That would be my go to round if legal year round.

We looked into that stuff for our back deck, it sounds appealing but I figured it would turn into a headache down the road.  I went with stain and sealer.  I’ve built my last deck out of lumber, if I build another it’ll be out of the synthetic stuff.
