Simply. Stolen vehicle Control the situation and then sort it out...I know people will fuss about me saying that but just because they're not combative or appearing that way..things change quick. So, ugh...question for the LEO's in this thread. This stop with the kid in the car. Nobody seemed to be 'combative' or threatening. Driver and passenger seemed to be compliant. Why all the "drama" with 'walk back to my voice'? I get the safety of the officers....I truly 100% do. But it seems overzealous. I don't know. To a civilian like me, it seems there could be a middle ground? View Quote I also get that they are 'unknown' and LEO's have to treat every situation as a life threatening case. I do. But I think with experience, they'd learn to be able to discern when things are 'suspect' and when it's like "Ok, this doesn't seem so bad". I realize those are the situations that can go bad. It's a mixed bag for me because I see training interfere with common sense and decency. Maybe I'm way off. |
