Quoted: Naturally! We (Hamilton County, not where I live, and the City of Cincy) spent millions on a stupid ass trolley system that spends most of the day driving around empty because it doesn't go where it needs. But hey, it's not like we've got a nearly century old major thoroughfare that needs replaced - https://www.fox19.com/2020/11/05/funds-western-hills-viaduct-replacement-project-be-split-by-city-county/ View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The city of Austin just passed a proposition to expand the rail lines, bus routes, and "affordable housing." All for the low low rate of 7.1 billion. Naturally! It's going to be a shit show. I've not taken that train in years. I know people do use it but they have to man it with APD sometimes because of all the fucking bums. Right now it only goes downtown to just north of Austin with a handful of stops in between. I'm curious where they are going to create this "affordable housing" because downtown is all over priced condos or if there is a house for sale the property alone is worth hundreds of thousands if not millions. They already revamped east Austin and pushed all the cheaps out. My sisters condo in east austin that was bought for 120 sold for 330. They just bought a house in south central Austin that's a typical 1/4 lot around 1400 sq ft for 30k more than we paid for our 3 acres and 2800 sq ft house. |

On Wednesday we had pretty colors involving potassium hydroxide on the major bridge that goes right through Cincy and since everyone is now taking the ring highway around and tying up my route home. Housing in Travis and Wilco are nuts. Our house is appraised around mid 350s. They built a new house one block away from us that's the same size on a 1 acre lot. They are asking 569. |
