I can remember the time, and that not long ago, that the whole area would suffer from Bristol hysteria. Grocery stores 50 miles from the track would get blown up during both race weeks. I had friends paying 2-3x face value for tickets. The Tri-Cities were pretty much a no-go during race week due to the traffic. Often as early as the Tuesday before the race. I was out yesterday, just a normal day.
Now tickets are available day of. But IMO they’ve priced themselves out of sellouts. Never mind that Bristol isn’t as fun as it was 20 years ago. |
