Quoted: The trades are hurting for dependable folks. Never too old to learn something new either. View Quote Yea. The problem is time. I could easily do electrical work but going through the journeyman process will eat up some years I don't really have. I can do HVAC as well and welding/fab. Just trying to find the shortest route to something profitable that I could be flexible with and make somewhat decent money. |

Quoted: Noice! Still waiting for the lacquer to get rock-hard on the fiesta red Shuffleblaster. Dug a fingernail into the red overspray in the neck pocket, and it still left a tiny mark, so, I'll go 2 more weeks of cure time to be safe. Then I'll wet-sand, and polish. Neck is ready to go, and pickguard is wired up with an old set of scatter-wound hand-made Curtis Novak pickups, CTS pots, and a NOS paper-in-oil tone cap (I usually keep tone on "10" anyway, and just switch pickups, lol). Fully shielded, of course. Good evening gents, got it on out here in the garage. 22f out here, freezing my balls off, babysitting my offset smoker, for an 18lb brisket on for tomorrow.

Oh for fuck's sake. Damn slip and fall assholes are going after AFFF now? Really? Is it better to burn to death at an early age or to put a mass conflagration out fast? This is why I hate fucking shyster lawyers.

I will add you to my prayers, and I don't usually pray - much. I have a friend in dire straits with the bladder kind, and I've been doing all I can for him. He is hurting now, but his prognosis is good. |

I made a new friend. The little bunny greeted me one morning last week and followed up the last seven days. It rushes the door and I think it would come in if I let it. Likes peanuts, sunflower seeds, and feed corn. I'm training it for the next time I have over night guests.
I'm trying to convince a porcupine to move on and stop killing my yard tree. I have a whole forest worth of trees he's welcomed to but no, he is eating one of the dozen ornamental trees in the front yard. Today was day three of firecrackers and tent poles. This time I upped my game and poked him a few times in the tree. Tonight I caught him on the end of a low branch about 20 feet high so he was mine. Don't want to hurt him ... just need him to move along and fine another tree in the forest to eat but he's favoring this one which I think is a beech tree. If it starts to die beech trees are good for mushroom gardening. Attached File |
