That phrase pisses me off.  You spike the ball.  You do not clock it.   It's almost as bad as the saying "they are going tempo" when referring to no huddle.  It's up tempo you damn morans.

According to Next Gen Stats, the Wilson to Lockett TD pass only had a 6.3% completion probability. It is the lowest probability pass completed in the NFL in the last 2 seasons, and the 2nd most improbable completion since NGS began tracking.

Over the last 19 games Russell Wilson has 42 TDs to just 4 INTs, so far he is at 12 and 0 for this season.

The Seahawks are undefeated while wearing their Color Rush "Action Green" jerseys. 4-0.

Over the last ten seasons, the Seahawks are 18-2 at home in prime time games.

Wilson is the first QB in the Super Bowl era to have 1,400+ yards, 12+ TDs and 0 INTs through the first 5 games. Pat Mahomes would be the 2nd if he throws for at least 2 TDs and 0 INTs this weekend.

The last 3 Seahawks Rams games have been decided by a combined 8 points.

Russell Wilson all time when targeting Tyler Lockett: 70.8 comp%, 3,363 yards, 23 TDs, 3 INTs, 123.9 passer rating

Clay Matthews registered another sack incentive with his 6th sack of the season. $500,000 in sack incentives achieved to this point.

Before missing that kick, Zuerlein was 133/144 (92.36%) all time from 44 yards or less.

In their last two games, the Rams have now passed the ball 117 times, and have ran the ball just 29 times.

Coming off an ACL tear, BEFORE last nights game, Cooper Kupp was 2nd in receiving yards, 4th in receptions, and the only player with 3x 100 yard receiving games this season. Going into the weekend he temporarily is 1st in yards, 1st in receptions, T1st in TDs, and now has 4x 100 yard receiving games.

At this point and time, Christian McCaffrey leads the league in rushing yards, and Cooper Kupp leads the league in receiving yards. The last time two white players led these categories at the same time was 1956.

Russell Wilson NGS from last night:
On extended plays (4.0+ seconds before passing): 5/7, 85 yards, 2 TDs
Deep passes (20+ air yards): 4/4, 121 yards, 2 TDs
On the run (8+ MPH at time of release): 8/12, 130 yards, 2 TDs

Jets are going to get pummeled by the Eagles.
The Eagles are favored by more than 2 TD's and the public is actually slightly favoring the Jets.

So yeah, that seems like a safe prediction.

Counter point... Russell Wilson IS the Seahawks now. Was able to lean on a great defense and running game when he first started, but as of the last couple seasons, he is now carrying a whole lot of scrubs on his back.

As I said in the first half of the game last night, he makes that offensive line look a LOT better than they are. The above stats about him throwing on the run and on extended plays (throws taking longer than 4 seconds) shows how much work he is having to do to make stuff happen behind that line.

They had 3x different starting running backs last season.
They had 6x different running backs in 2017.
They had 5x different running backs in 2016.

So the ground game has really been inconsistent.

Heck, in 2017, Russell Wilson was their leading rusher by more than DOUBLE the next closest person. He was responsible for 81.4% of all their yards that season. And 37 of their 38 touchdowns.

Wilson IS the Seahawks. Everyone else are just Seachickens.

In that sense Aaron Rodgers IS the Packers.  However, when someone says something like "the Packers' offense sucks" no one (at least no one with even a hint of objectivity) is talking about Aaron Rodgers sucking.

i really don't care for mr. 'hey look at me with the cancer kids in the hospital' wilson, but even i can't hate on what he does on the field. his defense is long gone, lynch hasn't been replaced, his best receiver retired, his o-line has always been spotty and for a mobile receiver he stays pretty damn healthy.

I love my Seahawks and a win is a win but the questionable penalty (home cookin?) on Matthews saved their asses.

That O-line still needs a lot of work. The scramble stats speak to that. The more he scrambles the more risk to injury. I hope he can keep making them miss.

Wilson might be the most elusive QB I've ever seen play. On top of that, he's simply a damn good quarterback overall.
Meh, overrated.

No matter your hate for them, they are a solid team. You need to get over Romo's fumble from a decade ago.

I don't hate any NFL team.  Especially a team not even in the NFC East.  Though I do get a kick out of how often some of you Seahawks fans bring up the Cowboys. As for the Seahawks being "lucky" and "overrated." Winning is winning, but at home they beat the AJ Green-less Bengals by the skin of their teeth and they beat the Steelers by the skin of their teeth after they lost their starting QB and starting RB early in the game.

If we're talking about the manner in which teams win and lose it is a fair observation, despite your delicate sensibilities.

You're absolutely right, but at the same time if you boast that you're going to play in a game and then don't you can expect some criticism.

I didn't know he was boasting. Regardless smart decision on their end. They'll still probably throw for 400 yards against the Eagles secondary lol.

I'm very curious to see what happens in Carolina if Allen has continued to play very well by the time Newton is ready to go.

Of course it is very unlikely they would just come right out and say Allen is their guy.  They would probably do what the Cowboys did with Romo and keep putting if off claiming he isn't "100%" yet.

Just for funsies.

Colt McCoy has played the Patriots once. November 2010. He won 34 to 14. He threw less than 20 passes, for 174 yards and no TD's/INT's. Peyton Hillis had 29 carries for 184 yards. The Browns had 4 rushing TDs.

There's always a chance. It's just Adrian Peterson will likely have to do it. But for now, Colt McCoy, undefeated against the Patriots.

The memes, guys. The memes. The consequences of the Patriots losing a game to the Redskins would be funny, and the media narratives would go full retard, but the memes.

The Skins are available at around 7/1 odds to win for those so inclined.

No ML for me, but I'll probably end up taking the Skins getting 15.5-16 points at home.  The public is all over the Pats.  Might be the biggest public play I've seen all season so far.

They are already foaming at the mouth with Gostowski being out for the season (some couldn't even hold their wad that long).  If the Pats lose to the Redskins it would be a tidal wave of "the Pats are finished," "the dynasty is over," "there is no way they can beat the Chiefs," etc.

That day IS coming. It’s just a matter of when.

Brady has been outside the top 5 for a couple years now. It’s incredible that he’s still playing at the level he is at 42, but Father Time is undefeated. The Patriots are still a scary team, but any year could be Brady’s last, and I don’t know what life after Brady looks like for the Pats.

Belichick is probably the bigger question mark. The way he has his team built, he could sign a straight up average QB and still be a contender. But does he want to, and for how long?
