Kind of surprising, but when’s the last time you read anything SI related? Semi-regularly? It's not a go-to publication for me, but there are at least two guys that cover the Chiefs and have work published there that I read sometimes. |

Bills are on the edge of being able to field 48 guys who can play.
4 OUTs and several questionable. With Davis out they have to elevate Isabella Have to elevate Klein So if Martin cant punt, cut him and sign Haack to the 53-man? |

Quoted: Yes. I think I'd also be willing to go out on a limb and say the idea that Brock Purdy is real and that SF is really getting that kind of play from a pudgy white bread guy drafted in the 7th round is probably triggering a whole bunch of Tom Brady PTSD. They're not ready to spend the next however many seasons looking at the top of stat leaderboards and seeing this guy: https://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/nfl/players/full/4361741.png https://i.imgur.com/UJuHw3F.gif View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: The remaining QBs: Baker Mayfield (1st Overall 2018) Jared Goff (1st Overall 2016) CJ Stroud (2nd Overall 2023) Josh Allen (7th Overall 2018) Pat Mahomes (10th Overall 2017) Jordan Love (26th Overall 2020) Lamar Jackson (32nd Overall 2018) Brock Purdy (262nd Overall 2022) Brock Purdy ruining the perfect 1st round sweep. 7 of 8. Brady fucked it up for 20 out of his 23 years (rookie year he didn't play, missed it in 02, injured in 08), makes me wonder when the last time (if ever) the divisional round ONLY had 1st round pick quarterbacks remaining. No go in 2008, 6/8. Kurt Warner and Jake Delhomme fucked it up. No go in 2002, 5/8. Jeff Garcia, Brad Johnson, Rich Gannon. No go in 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, 1994 or 1993. So at least in the last 30+ years we have not seen a divisional round of only 1st rounders. I feel pretty confident in saying the majority of Purdy “hate” would disappear if he had been drafted in the top 10 overall instead of 262nd. Yes. I think it’s more that SF has a very talented roster & people still aren’t sold that Purdy would still be legit when he has the Chiefs WR corps. |

I don't understand why Bill is apparently pushing his chips in with Atlanta. Atlanta? What do they have to work with? Anything?
Do they even have a defense down there? Or is it just ten or eleven guys in uniform when the other team has the ball? |

Steelers projected to be 17 million over the cap Right now.

Quoted: There's a huge difference in the QB and HC situations. At QB, there's a near 0% chance Dallas will have the opportunity to acquire a QB better than Dak. There won't be any in FA, nobody trades QBs like that, and Dallas picking at #24 with as many as 15 QB needy teams in front of them. Meanwhile, there's a six pack of HC candidates on the market right now with at least the potential to be better than McCarthy. View Quote Thanks for pointing those things out. I feel much worse. |

View Quote Those 2 PS players raised for one game seem to be reported as elevations although the press isn't totally consistent. I have seen a player elevated then not activated to the 48, probably because somebody questionable to the last minute played. Stays at 2 for the playoffs but the number of times per player opens up. bills can only elevate 2 and don't want to IR anybody who might play next week so they're in a tight spot. |

Problem is Steelers have no QB and they win just enough to not get a high draft pick for QB. When I watched Tomlin say Pickett is the starter but will have competition I lost all faith in them to turn it around. |

View Quote They’ll be cap compliant before the league due to restructures/cuts/etc Tomlin was always, likely, to be extended. I’m really not sure why you’re surprised. The Steelers have basically made it a core franchise philosophy to not fire head coaches, since hiring Chuck Noll Kenny is listed as QB1 because there’s only 2 QBs under contract, him and Mitch. However, the full quote is “QB1 with competition”. I don’t get the sense that the organization is going to hand him QB1 and the Steelers have already said they would like to bring Mason back |

Or is it just ten or eleven guys in uniform when the other team has the ball? View Quote Their defense was middle of the pack which was a massive improvement. It dropped off a lot when Grady Jarrett and Onyemata got hurt. I believe that it was a top 10 defense before that. On offense they have a good o-line, two stud RBs, Pitts, London, and J Smith. They just need a QB. It seems like half the games that the Falcons lost were on the last possession. They weren't getting blown out. A few less turnovers by Ridder and they could have won the division. I'd imagine that Bill plans on signing a veteran QB like Cousins. That is already a good team with a competent QB playing in the weakest division in the NFL. Healthy cap space and 3 draft picks in the first 2 rounds can easily make ATL a division winner. |

I don't get the sense that the organization is going to hand him QB1 and the Steelers have already said they would like to bring Mason back But there are three or four that would get them under.(Khan knows how to manipulate the cap as he has for awhile) But they are in trouble. I said Pickett is QB 1 with Rudolph unsigned. I think Rudolph will be signed by another team. Trubisky needs to be released. Pickett is tomlin/colbert/artII hand pick so he will be treated like a baby. (Rumors of him being a problem) Tomlin has gone stale and has no control of the lockerroom. N.Harris and others have alluded to it. N.Harris will get his 5th year option even though he is not wort hit. ArtII is running the team into the ground. |

Honestly that couple of years of learning without all the stress of being the starter probably really does help Just being able to learn the offense inside & out would be a huge benefit. Most of the 1st round busts go through a few HC’s or OC’s before they’re given up on, and you know they’re not understanding the playbook the way they need to. Hell, by the 3rd one they’re probably just getting more confused. |
