He's the 2nd return guy to give that answer this week... Makes me think of all the return guys I have seen over the years who try to field punts inside the 5 yard line instead of letting it go, or not calling fair catch when they should and getting creamed/fumbling, and how those guys vanish from the league really quick.

You're an undrafted walk on special teamer who bounced between 5 different fucking semi-pro minor leagues (IFL, FCF, TSL, ELF, USFL) in less than 3 years. You're making league minimum and frankly a sneeze away from being replaced. You'll fucking fair catch the ball when they tell you to if you don't want to be back in the fucking European League of Football playing for the Polish Wroclaw Panthers again.

Replacement refs were worse.

Regular refs still aren't as good as we'd want though, as you're aware.

Nothing like it.

Would the replacement refs be more, or less, likely to be corrupted?

What I posted was “…the owner would basically say “fuck you, I know better” and vote in favor of the rule change.”  I can’t imagine an NFL owner telling his HC, that recently won two Super Bowls and is the favorite to win the next one, literally “fuck you.”

Chiefs voted yes to the new rule...

Yup. Folded like a cheap XXXL suit.

I thought the owners were the voters?

It seems unlikely an NFL owner’s HC that won two Super Bowls in the past 5 years (and is the favorite to win it again in 2023) would be emphatically against a rule change and the owner would basically say “fuck you, I know better” and vote in favor of the rule change.

It also seems that’s what happened.

Possible, but unlikely.

Unless you think its more likely that the Chiefs' owner told Andy Reid "fuck you" than it is Andy Reid isn't really all that opposed to the rule change.

You’ve never known a scenario where a manager disagreed with an owner, and the owner made a decision without saying Fuck You?

Reid was asked his opinion on the rule change. He responded from a viewpoint of a coach and a fan of the game. The Hunts voted as business owners, accounting for future lawsuits for injuries, TV contracts with respect to the pace of the game.

I’m not sure what your assertion actually is. That Reid was lying in his response? That Hunt hates Reid?

On my farm, my decisions are the course of action because I write the checks. I take my farm hand’s opinion into account frequently, because he’s smart and experienced. That doesn’t mean when I decide differently from his opinion that I’m saying “Fuck You.”  Or that he was insincere in his opinion.

Your whole statements seems to be “ This thing that happened, it might have happened, but it’s unlikely.”

It's Andy Reid. His coach speak skills are truly elite. If he doesn't want to address a subject, he won't. He'll say many words without actually saying much of anything. I've seen him do it to protect players, protect coaches, protect the GM, to minimize controversy, and because he just plain doesn't like the question. When he does directly address something that's negative or contentious, it's noteworthy.

If he didn't want to address the question or let it be known that he has some level of disagreement, he wouldn't have said as much as he did.

Two things...

1) The 2022 Chiefs had a terrible defense, sketchy WR group, mediocre OTs, and an erratic and unreliable ST unit. The only reason to believe they should have been favored to win the SB last year is if you believe Patrick Mahomes is the greatest QB to ever walk the earth. I wasn't there at the time, and while I'm a couple steps closer, I'm still not there yet.

2) I'd much rather be remembered for being a skeptical, conservative, and overly analytical fan that overthinks everything than be remembered for TG44's RBF stuff.

LOL. I said something dumb and made an ass out of myself when people mocked it. I deserved it. You’re still insisting that a team which was a favorite to win the Super Bowl before the season, during the season, before and during the playoffs, wasn’t a contender.

DaVante Adams has been hit with a civil lawsuit for an incident that occurred after a game last October. After the Raiders dramatic MNF loss to the Chiefs, Adams shoved a photographer who later pressed charges against Adams for misdemeanor assault.

That photographer (freelancer named Park Zebley) claims to have suffered whiplash, a minor concussion and headaches following the shove. The photographer has now filed a lawsuit. He is not just suing Adams, but also the Raiders, the Chiefs, the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark Events Staffing.

"A municipal misdemeanor battery charge is not sufficient. I'm looking for justice. You can't shove someone down and walk off like it didn't happen. Not in real life."

Greedy little shit.

It could be both?

But the freelancer is definitely a greedy little shit though. If he wanted to chase some money out of Adams, that's one thing, but he's not just suing the player, he's also suing the team he played for, and the team they happened to be facing that day, and the municipal entity which operates the stadium they played in, and the security staffing company who was hired to work in the stadium...

He's that guy who is not just suing the drunk driver that hit him, he's also suing the beer company, the bar the guy drank in, the car company, the state the car was licensed in, the roads department, etc.

Dude is a scum bag.

Steelers QB Kenny Pickett had his car stolen during a radio interview on Wednesday. His 2023 Genesis SUV was stolen while he was interviewing with 93.7 The Fan at Bowser Chevrolet on Route 286 in Monroeville. Pickett's playbook was in the vehicle when it was stolen. The car was recovered, and an arrest was made. The suspect's identity was discovered after the dealership security footage revealed he left his personal vehicle behind at the dealership when he stole Pickett's car. Twitter emojis don't translate across Arfcom's forum system perfectly. The "?" is actually a clock emoji in the actual Tweet.

A lot of times when you see a Twitter post here it will have tons of slashes and seemingly random letters and what not, those are emoji's that aren't getting across.

It's hilarious how the NFL and media try so desperately hard to portray Aaron Donald as the black Peyton Manning of defense when really he's about as thuggish and classless as Ndamukong Suh.
Rip off a players helmet and attack him with it during a game? Immediate indefinite suspension that became the 2nd longest suspension for an on-field infraction in NFL history as well as being fined $50k and losing $1.15M in salary (Myles Garrett).

Rip off two players helmets and attack people with it during an NFL monitored joint practice? "Handled" internally.

Can't have the defensive face of the NFL, on the defending Super Bowl Champions, look bad or be suspended for the season opener. That's bad for business.

Not excusing it but one was live TV. There is a difference in the NFL’s eyes.

He seems to like choking offensive linemen during games.

So anyone see the ESPN article about Le'Veonn Bell admitting that he got high before every game when he was with the Steelers/Jets? I guess the drug testing policy/procedures in the NFL are a joke.

I believe the players are tested in the off season and know the date.  If you fail once then the random tests kick in.

Twitter emojis don't translate across Arfcom's forum system perfectly. The "?" is actually a clock emoji in the actual Tweet.

A lot of times when you see a Twitter post here it will have tons of slashes and seemingly random letters and what not, those are emoji's that aren't getting across.

"He is eligible to sign with a new team immediately ?"

Is he asking or telling?

Yeah, it seems it’s usually empty squares or some shit.  I can’t recall ever seeing a single question mark before.
