Quoted: Good news! Praying the recovery continues. I’ll just skip all that about the dad. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Girl is awake which is good, they are trying to get the mucus/fluid out of her lungs (not pleasant), she can't talk (intubated), has a hole in one lung, and is signing "die" to her mother, we think she is concerned she is going to die and is struggling to stay awake (affecting her recovery) because she is scared of falling asleep and not waking up. Father flew back to Boston for the vanity Harvard BS course today. He's been to our house a bunch of times, nice guy but never drinks more than one beer... pretty sure I don't want to ever see him again based on his priorities during this. Good news! Praying the recovery continues. I’ll just skip all that about the dad. Good, no point anyone else is frustrated, I'm just venting and this is my only outlet. |

and on top of everything else....
Grumpy wife... grumpy life. Re-org at work combined with a probable retirement because the economy sucks and no-one is growing spending. They're retreating to their comfort zone because that's what they know instead of continuing to try to modernize. No specifics I can share but I'm sure there's one regular here who will know exactly what I'm talking about. Not a catastrophe, just a reminder that they need to deliver in at most 3 years with much more $ or we will be moving on (and that we need to prepare for the moving on option). |

Gotta get the kids self-sufficient first because the wife still struggles with that. |

Crawling back in bed and snuggling up against wifey sounds awfully tempting.

View Quote That’s the executive lifestyle that has me really hesitant to pursue executive leadership positions. I just don’t want to deal with moving every 2-5 years. |

And the rapid prototyping machines you bought were a huge waste of money. Those cost savings numbers are a lie.

We’re a lot closer to the self sufficient kids, but still have a long way to go before we’d leave them overnight by themselves. |
