Quoted: Only thing I want out of SHOT; If I can buy a pair of color night vision home security cameras from Amazon for $60 damn dollars, I don't see any reason somebody can't make a set of $1k, tactical, durable, NVGs. A guy like me with 2 kids and a mortgage wants NVGs to play with. Somebody has to have the ability to make NV 'common use'! I admittedly don't understand the technology behind them, but considering the size/weight/price of something like a TV, cell phone, or computers have evolved to be less expensive with more features, why hasn't the night vision world done something relatively similar? View Quote Bought my Sionx Opsin for $1800, which is pretty close to your price point and checks the box for a NV toy. |

They were promising this quite a while ago when they bought DPMS, and mentioned it was quite a ways off in the future. Quite a few were asking for this, myself included, but I gave up and went to the POF Revolution 308, and am not looking back. Going to check out the Ruger LW 308 sometime this year. This should make some G2 owners very excited, especially if they sell parts and accessories. |

Kudos to Midwest but there's no way I'm shelling out that kind of money for my poor old AK to 'enhance' it. I'll GBPSE but wow, inflation is a bitch! I mean Gucci Glocks are a thing, so I guess Gucci AK's are as well? |

Not trying to derail this here, so my suggestion is go to the NV forum and see why digital NV in its current form sucks and is inferior to NV via tubes. |

That's awesome news about the HMG STG. It seems like the engineering was all done, and at the end the bottom dropped out of their manufacturing.
|
|
It looks like the PTR is a G41 clone, which is awesome! Only the choice of trigger housing and handguard throw off the looks, but if you compare the images side by side it looks to be a proper clone with bolt hold open and everything.
