I dunno. It's just the PoF profile pic of a 'porterhouse83', a unique username that only draws a few results and all residing in the state listed for the OP and all having common themes for interests and posting styles on other boards. So...uh... Occam's Razor and all that jazz. He's a rather handsome fellow indeed. Where's the line between posting personal information and digging up some info on Google? I've never been cleared on what's allowed here and what isn't. I believe that's some shit AROCK would pull and a bannable offense if I was staff on duty. Eh. Anything which can be found on the 1st page of google when searching someone's "anonymous" user name is fair game IMO. Poster above needs to chill a bit - glad he's not staff. ETA - It's the OP who decided it would be a good idea to use the same username on a bunch of different dating sites AND arfcom - GD no less. |

I'm constantly amazed at how women view being asked out. I was talking to some chick at a concert and my "big move" was saying, "Hey, can I get your number?" She told me she thought I was ballsy for doing that. I never realized anyone could be impressed by that, but I don't know, maybe all the manlets these days have lowered the bar for masculinity?

I believe that's some shit AROCK would pull and a bannable offense if I was staff on duty. Do you have any idea what Arocking is? Arocking refers to someone trying to harm/ruin you in real life, by contacting people at your job (or other people in your life) for the express purpose of fucking you over. This is exactly nothing like that. If the image came from someone raiding his photobucket account, or some detailed and complex search to try to "identify" him in real life, then it might be a problem. But if this is an image that comes up if someone googles his username, then it is PUBLIC information that he himself put out there. That's not an example of posting someone's persons identifying information - it's just an example of someone re-posting an image that he himself put out on the internet for public view. Is it a little tasteless? Perhaps. But it does not seem to be a violation of our rules, nor does it have anything in common with Arocking. |

This thread cements the fact that usernames / emails / accounts are always best set up with unique names
Also, I think there is nothing wrong with posting an image that is found on the first page of a google search. Maybe its him, maybe its not. Either way, we are all friends here for the most part - he wants to live his life on the 'net... |

For fuck's sake. What is this thread even about? I came for a picture of the gorgeous blond.
As to the argument going on, here is my advice. If you don't want someone to know what you look like, don't post a picture of yourself on the fucking internet. Anything that you post in the public domain is fair game. Don't wine about it later. |
