Work stuff just got more complicated, she been getting daily calls and emails from an internal recruiter for "a top 5 tech company" based on the west coast (I know the company, the role, and the comp, but can't share). Finally talked to them and it a position reporting into someone who reports to the CEO, one level down from where she is now but the company is 100x larger and she would be one of the public faces of the company. Would probably move to the west coast and comp is 2x what she's making now (but stock has less upside and houses are a lot more expensive). I just wanna go retire to a ranch somewhere where it doesn't snow too much

Quoted: Been to WA once. Sucked. Too wet. View Quote I lived in Vancouver WA for a while. Saw fighter jets go supersonic every day, was an hour from snow and mountains, an hour from the sea, met a mountain lion while out walking the dog, but could walk to great waterfront restaurants and was 10 minutes from groceries/shopping...... |
