Yep. The MP5 is probably definitely at the top of my lottery gun list. .

Quoted: A Glock 18 with a stock would be a better sub gun. Even has bolt (slide) hold open, unlike disgusting MP5. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: They are great. The MP5K is totally awesome. A Glock 18 with a stock would be a better sub gun. Even has bolt (slide) hold open, unlike disgusting MP5. I have never shot a Glock 18 but would like to. I have handled a 93R with stock but not fired it. Again, I would like to. |

MP5s are gross. Worst FP ever. Please tell me why an MP5 is good besides that you saw Charlie Sheen and Carl Weathers use them in the 80s. Very accurate and cheap to feed. For the size and weight, I still prefer an SBR'd AR-15. |

I said I liked it and for me the reason was that it was fun. The MP5K was even more fun. For use in a real situation I'd rather have an SBR AR (or select fire version of one). |

I bet they like that it is compact, reliable, accurate, controllable, easy to silence, and has ammunition compatibility with many service pistols. |

MP5Ks fit fabulously in European man bags and the controls work super swell for men of superior genetics. The lack of a bolt hold-open is merely like the intentional flaw in an Afghan rug.

The roller lock is about it's only redeeming quality imo.
If the Scorpion was roller locked instead of pure blowback it could be my Poor P Five. |
|
I enjoy shooting the MP5 I wish the cyclic rate was higher. Very soft shooting very controllable does not ergo like an AR

Ever since I saw the movie "navy SEALs" as a kid.
The MP5 has been one of my dream guns. |

If MGs ever become legal, an MP5 is at the top of the list. Sex.

I've got a special place in my heart for them. An MP5 was the very first MG I shot and later another was the first suppressed gun I got to shoot.
One of these days |

yeah, I'm sure that's why SAS / SEALs and damn near everyone else bad ass has carried the MP5 at one point or another. Lotta Carl Weathers fans in SEAL Team 3 from what I hear... Meh, all those groups used grease guns too..... And there is a reason those groups have pretty much replaced the mp5 with the mk18. It's still used some but it isn't near as popular as it used to be. |

All I could think was "MICHAEL BEIHN YOU LIED TO ME!" |

For serious use I guess it isn't the best choice, or even in the running. For fun, my clone ranks pretty high with a can and subs. I own some guns for fun...yes, just for fun. Crazy, I know.

They are awesome to lay in your lap in a vehicle because of their size with the stock collapsed. If you leave it collapsed but unlocked you simply step out of the car, pull the stock, and use the gun. They are awesome for short range vehicle take downs. Size and suppression are the two areas MP5s excel in. A CAR-15 is just too big for some roles but something like the Sig552 also seems to fit the MP5 niche albeit way louder/blasty. Extended selector levers have been available for decades so that's a moot point. MP5 certainly suck as general issue weapons but they definitely have their place. MP5Ks, without the stock, universally suck. The new .300BO PDWs might be able to fill the niche MP5 roles but that remains to be seen. |

MP5 was introduced just after 1968 cut-off of imported MG's for civilian ownership. Rumors exist that there are a couple of transferable real MP5's. |
