Hiking in the mountains, or any woods if I don't have time to hit the mountains. Pretty much any outdoor pursuits, snowshoeing, beach, etc. The low impact stuff with wife and dog. Kids when they're around. Gym everyday, reading, watching great movies, travel. Lots of enjoyable ways to keep busy. Sipping different whiskeys on the weekends, and trying new stouts and porters as well. Oh, good food, cooking or getting out, too.

In addition to flying that damn kite, I am hooked on archery elk hunting. Holy cow, getting up close to these beasts and hoping to stick one is a great time for me.
K, I sometimes fly at camp. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File I need to quit doing this. At 62 I could fall and break a hip, lol. I’ll never quit. Attached File |

I like target archery - I'm still rocking my old samick sage, but I'm saving up for the last recurve I'll ever need.
I like reading, mostly genre fiction (sci fi and fantasy) and history books. I'm learning to ride a bike (at age 34) and it's proving to be more and more fun as I get stronger and more confident I have a bass that i use to play The Rocksmith but i suck at it without a note highway to look at |

Quoted: Dogs cars and mtn bikes. I don't consider myself a mountain biker, I like slow rides through nature. View Quote I'd like to get into the same thing. I've Zero Interest in blasting down a mountain and breaking my neck, but going for a nice trail ride or using the bike to get further than hikers can seems like a nice day. |

Climbing (mostly indoors so far).
I'm nearing the point that I'll sign up for some guided outdoor climbing over taking another shooting class with my disposable income. |

I love my Jeep.
Love my Jeep Rubicon. For 43 years I drove shit boxes. I mean a few were decent sedans and I had a two wheel drive Toyota Pick-up that was in good shape, but I never had anything special until I finally got to a point in life where I could buy my Jeep Rubicon. Love that thing, love driving it, love modifying it, love going camping with it and hoping to be able to do some great off roading with it in the future. I love training my Dog. I have a German Shepherd Dog and I love training with him, playing with him, and spending time with him. If the world went all "I am Legend" on me and all I had was my GSD I'd be okay. I love my Weight Lifting. I have a home gym at home. I like wearing funny, but cool t-shirts I buy just working out. I have cool shorts and I just rock out to new music I download all the time and just enjoy it. Such a feeling of accomplishment after, it's great. I like Movies and Going out to Eat with my wife. We like to try new places, drive out to new places, and just have found some great chill spots. I love it even more if we can get friends to come with us. Our little town just refurbished its little movie theater and I love it. I like BBQ. Nothing more fun than the scientific culinary experience that is perfecting the ultimate BBQ. It's not only delicious, but deeply satisfying when friends and family compliment you on your perfectly smoked or grilled food. I'm slowly turning my backyard into a little Eden and it's a joy to hang out there with friends, family, and my dog. It's my happy place. Drink what I want, do what I want, and be around the people I want, that's Eden to me. |

Quoted: @C-4 It is a Ling Cod. Most are white with brown coloring but on occasion you catch a blue one. Great eating, my favorite of the bottom fish we catch. Even the fillets are blue but turn opaque when cooked. Males, like this one are from about 4 to 15 lbs. Females can go over 50 lbs. They are aggressive feeders and have teeth. https://i.ibb.co/5kJdpXt/Ling-Teeth.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: @C-4 It is a Ling Cod. I went deep sea fishing a week ago yesterday off the NH coast. My friend caught a cusk which is very similar family. Some teeth. I caught the freshwater version cusk on Lake Winnepesauke ice-fishing. These have teeth plates but you can stick fingers in their mouth. This is a Chain Pickeral, also ice-fishing. |

Jiu-jitsus has taken over all my free time. Kinda more interested in it than guns now tbh. More likely to be in a physical confrontation where a gun isn’t the best option realistically.
