Poll incoming....
Lifetime total number of rounds of centerfire pistol or rifle ammunition fired at another human being, excluding the following: 1. Simunitions 2. Rounds fired while deployed as part of the armed services or as a DOD contractor 3. Rounds fired while on duty as a law enforcement officer 4. Non-lethal or less-lethal ammo No explanation is needed as to why, how, or when. This is related to the 1911 carry thread - it got me curious. |

I have been lucky. |

When I was a dumbass teen I got a SAR-1 and an SKS.
Me and a buddy started mag dumping into the trees. A guy walks out looking around where, I learned a lesson without anyone getting hurt. |
|
I have had a couple of incidents that got loud. These things happen.

I know a guy that has taken a few shots at trespassers...
Maybe 20 shots in 20 years? |

Closest I ever got was reaching for my pistol. A pair of drunks had blocked the road. Passenger had her window down and one reached inside and grabbed hold of her. Fortunately for all involved he backed off pretty quickly before I even had to draw.

Outside a bar, friends wife was the barmaid, drunk asshole that nobody knew was berating the girls and said barmaid, got forcefully ejected, decided to try to back over his antagonists , hit the door of the bar with his truck as they ran for safety. His truck may have caught 3 rounds of 9mm to encourage his departure.

Where do crew served weapons enter into this? Does each crew member get a percentage?

One round from a FN FS2000 (sold that piece of shit long ago) at a trespasser on our ranch.
Hope to keep it at that. |

None at a person. I did mag dump an AK into a bluff face over the head of a bonfire party from the wood line. Trespassers repeatedly shitting up leased hunting property with deep tire ruts in crops, mountains of beer cans, broken glass, furniture, shredded styrofoam coolers, etc.
I burned down a tent in a meth cooking operation slash squatters camp once upon a time too. Same property. I eventually gave up on that place, too many tree stands and game cams walking off, fuckheads poaching, etc. |

Does this include only targeting individuals, or does it also include suppressive fire to get a group of gangbangers to seek cover?

Even in LE I never had a need to use deadly force.
But like Dirty Harry said, "A good man got to know his limitations." Does that make me a good man? |

only one.
glad I missed, on purpose. had the desired effect of shutting down the situation.(threat left the premises quickly) told no one about it but "heard about it" the next week so I assume the "threat" talked about getting "shot at." Threat tried to break in on my Mother,(we had "problems" earlier and he had tried to break in on my Mother before but didn't know I was home.) |
