Me either.  Seems like there are better terms out there to describe this.

None the less, thanks OP for the education in terminology & what’s going on in my state.

My sister and her husband live in Montrose. She runs marathons, so her training regimen is running in the park at 4am. She swears that Houston is safe....

Just today you posted about having you hand go for your gun because a con-man was trying to sell you posters.

I am worried about you.

Texas Penal Code 9.42

A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:
(1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41; and
(2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
(A) to prevent the other’s imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or
(B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and
(3) he reasonably believes that:
(A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or
(B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

Went to the range today. Was paranoid and carried a magnet in my pocket for protection.

Still I saw no Jugglers, Juggalos, or Juggs. Watched my rearview mirror all the way home.

Day turned out successful.

Legit issue here in Houston.  Google "Houston Jugging" and you'll see multiple press reports and even some PD press releases.  It's a crime that has no specific geographic footprint.

On the issue of being followed from gun ranges, know of one from earlier in the year.  Customer was followed home at close of business.  Range owner told me they had the jugging crew's vehicle on camera waiting for a victim when they reviewed their footage.

cemeteries to, but that is more gypsies.  they followed my grandfather home after approaching him while he was visiting my grandmas grave.   they pretended to be fpl, the power company.  luckily I was there and they got cold feet. Called the cops and they told me it was gypsies.  they try to distract you, one of them will cut the power and then ask to check something in the house, while the other distracts you.

Jugging is very prevalent in the city. Our crime suppression units work those cases all the time. Daycares are another big target. Mom drops kid off and leaves purse in car. Very easy to spot and happens quick. People getting gas is another popular tactic.

Headline from today's paper:  "Felon sentenced to 29 years in prison for 'jugging'  but officials don't know where he is"

It's a feel good story inspiring confidence in our justice system.
