With the reduction in velocity you would be better off with a 300 BO.

Lighter gun, lighter ammo. Less recoil and noise. 308 needs a 16” barrel minimum.

You are wrong. And that’s sad.

False. You're giving up 600 ft lbs of energy going 300 bo. Less powder if you're even pushing a similar bullet.

Kind of want but will wait for a range report.  I had a 16" Ruger SFAR that went back to the mother ship twice for accuracy issues.  They wound up replacing the gun but I sold it instead of going down that rabbit hole again.

This. I suspect the buffer is a standard length (and they opted for a longer RE) instead of a standard RE and the weird short buffers that DPMS used.

Dude, I really don’t care what you think.

It’s not your gun, so why are you so concerned about it?

A short .308 is going to pack more of a punch than a BLK, all day every day and it’s not going to drop like a rock after 100 yards.

I have one rifle chambered in .300AAC and a half dozen .308’s for a reason - the BLK sucks and with subs it’s even worse.

Seriously lol. That guy wants so badly for someone to agree with him and justify his poor purchases.

I almost got caught up in wanting a 300BLK because of how quiet it is, but after looking into it more...ballistics seem like they suck, especially with subs. Not worth the investment in a new caliber.

Thanks for the thread, OP! These 13.7" Sabre 10s have really been staring at me lately And I'm not sure how much longer I can resist.

I've been pleased with my 5.56 Sabre upper. Getting about 1.4 MOA with the AAC 75 gr match, and about 2.5 with PMC X-Tac.

Pretty decent for what it is, and only marginally less accurate than my DD.

Run it over a chronograph. You aren’t getting 2500fps out of a 150gr bullet out of a 13.7” barrel.

Probably closer to 2300fps.

IIRC, I get 2450 with FGMM 168 gr out of a 16" barrel.  Also, this guy says something very similar...

I'll bet it's well more than 2500.

I used a LMT AR-15 tube on my 12.5”, it works fine with Slash’s CAR-10 buffer but his .308 buffers are the same size as standard AR-15 carbine buffers

A longer buffer might be a problem in a short tube, I dunno for sure cause I’ve never tried it

I wonder if a Vltor Emod would fully collapse?  I have a couple of A5 setups and the Emod will fully collapse with them.  Regular stocks will not and look just like yours.  I normally shoot my rifles two positions out anyway, so no biggy.  Good looking rifle with a lot of features!

Not at all. I own two AR-10’s. One with an 18” barrel and one with a 16” barrel. The velocity difference between those two is substantial. Never mind comparing them to my 24” Vanguard.

If the 13.7” barrel is what OP wants then more power (actually less..) to him.

Cool story, Karen.

People asked for the weight of the gun, not the weight of the gun with the silencer.

I don’t even own any 10-round mags, you can go look up magazine weights on your own fucking time.

Don’t like it? You should cry about it on the internet.

Relatively new to suppressed shooting. So far only on bolt gun. Adjusting gas block - is that for function or muzzle velocity? Maybe stupid question but it's one way to learn.

Suppressors can increase back pressure

This can result in overgassing and increased bolt carrier speed

My 12.5” does not have an adjustable gas block and the carrier was cycling so fast, I was getting stovepipes because the case didn’t have enough time to fully exit the ejection port before the bolt slammed back into battery

On that gun I had to install a BRT gas tube to restrict the gas, after that it cycles perfectly

An adjustable gas block does the same thing, if your gun is over gassed with the suppressor you can dial it down to control the amount of gas entering the gas tube

My turn to nitpick: The word "data" is plural for datum. Therefore, the correct sentences would be, "Your data are flawed," or "Your datum is flawed."
