Did they gut a PLR-16 and use the guts to make their own? Only hopefully in a way that doesn't suck?

How hard can a .223/5.56 kick? Shit, I had a 14" Contender barrel for a while. Even with the scope that was much lighter than most any AR pattern rifle and it was like shooting a rimfire.

AR pattern with NO buffer tube?  You have my interest PSA.

(assuming it isn't on the same dev schedule as their years-after-announcement-and-STILL-vaporware MP5 clone...)

Idk, between Faxon, brownells, serbu, oly, and RRA doing the bufferless upper conversions in the past and recent EWS bufferless bolt carrier group; I'm not sure how successful this will truly be. Maybe if they can get the upper under 400-500 it will take off this time.

I'm pretty sure that's the whole point. First super affordable bufferless upper.

If the modern rifle market has taught me one thing, it's that cost saving measures like extruded receivers actually add to a weapon's cost.

Maybe, I'll hold out for a price point to be released.  I mean the brownells 180 upper can regularly be had in 600 range and I have yet to see any substantial market gain. Heck the oly ones didnt seem to sell at all even back when they were one of the cheaper options on the market for an ar style rifle.

Kudos to PSA though on what is turning out to be a pretty impressive new product line up for this year.

But I don't want to be the beta tester.

PSA will probably be to those manufacturers what the 300 blackout was to 300 whisper.

The right iteration at the right time.
