What do you think the best way to prepare for future gun bans?
Do you buy a bunch of Lowers ? Buy ton of magazines or ammo? What is the best way to bury a gun for long term storage in a area that get 4 seasons and lots of rain? |

Learn machining and CNC. Acquire schematics for guns and ammo, acquire tooling.

Matt Bracken is a prophet…Read the Enemies trilogy…and realize it was written 20 years ago.

What is the point of burying them ?
I guess you still have them but for what purpose . You can't take them anywhere |

I have a mill and a lathe. I just need a good 3d printer and I can build whatever I want
|

At that point it will be time to fight!
That said, parts, ammo and magazines! If you hadn’t started getting any of these ten years ago, you are well behind! |

I'm 59 years old. I have led a good life. Fuck your gun bans and your red flag laws. Better send bachelors.

I would only consider burying maybe one rifle and/or pistol for doomsday. I actually haven’t done this, but if I had the time I probably would. With some ammo, food, other emergency items. I would pack it in cosmoline, then a solid waterproof non rusting container. Ideally buried below frost line and in a place unlikely to be fucked with.
I do agree, if it’s time to bury your guns it’s probably time to use them. I would get magazines now. I like to have at least 10 for each gun though that’s just me and not based on science. I have some I use for range use and a lot for just in case. Get a few AR uppers and lowers if that’s the platform you’re into. Wouldn’t go crazy getting an ass load of receivers unless you just like to build for fun. You should probably get some spare parts for your main weapon systems, firing pins, extractors, springs, etc. I have. Ammo. Can never have enough. Spend the most money on this. |

Buy spare parts for 9mm Glocks and 5.56 ARs, magazines, 9mm and 5.56 ammunition, reloading equipment, reloading components, body armor and night vision

Along with the preparations, learn to be low profile, and do not advertise in any way what you have.
No one needs to know about you or your preps, the more that know, the more likely it is that the wrong people will find out. |

Buying a bunch of lowers?
not sure I follow you. Buy whatever guns you think you will want/need, then get reloading gear and components to keep shooting, and buy yourself a 3D printer so you can truly become ungovernable. Don't assume uppers and parts will still be available in 10 years. personally, I may never buy another gun again. But I will likely buy a lot of parts over the next year. |

I am old
I "died" several times over the past year. I'm still here. I don't give one shit about their bans. I have skills. That's all I have to say. |

I’m building a bunch of those goofy New York rifles so I have something after I turn in my regular guns to the local authorities.

Like when bump stocks were banned, or > 10 round magazine in some states, or basic features and registration in CA and NY. In that phase it’s hard to justify shooting people, but you also want to keep some guns in a safe place in case it ever gets worse. For as big a people talk, their “lines in the sand” keep getting redrawn, else we would already see this so-called second Civil War we all hear about, because so many freedoms have already been trampled. |

I posted in the Security & Safe area about furniture or other things to hide a few around the house. I thought about posting it here but figured I would go there first.
https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/Secure-or-hidden-storage-if-you-keep-stuff-around-the-house/46-536128/ I might keel over trying to dig up a few so hidden items appeal to me more..... I should have probably mentioned in that thread I already have a pretty sturdy steel box to put shit in currently. Just looking at different ideas, more for unexpected threats as I do not carry around my house. I bang into too much shit but would like the option if I am cooking and I am trapped in the kitchen, I am not bringing a knife to a possible gun fight. As a second bonus it would free up room in the study metal box so I can buy more stuff.... |

You should buy comfortable shoes and nice thick insoles so if you have to stand in a long line to turn in your guns you'll be as comfortable as possible.

All the republicans do after the left fucks us is wipes their brow and tells us how bad it could have been if they weren’t there to slow the left down in their inexorable pull towards socialism. You need to just stop with the fantasy that you still live in the country you think you grew up in amd understand that America’s best days are behind her for a while. |
