686+ three inch.  I`ve been ogling those things for a while.  I had a six inch 686 when they came out, around 1980, & have regretted selling it off.

Triple K's double drop leg. I have a couple sets. I wanted a "B" movie style set, like the lone rangers, etc. but the prices were prohibitive so I modified one of my black ones. No reason, just wanted one.

The 686 and 36 are "no-dashes", the 66 is a dash 2, and the M&P 340 has a 9mm conversion cylinder.

Is that last one a 29 or 629? That looks like stainless to me, and I thought nickel guns had case-hardened hammer and triggers. Beautiful pieces all the way though!!

I have a 686 and 627-2 and always wondered what that hole in the bottom of the lug is near the ejection rod is for. Any ideas? I've looked all over the net for answers but nothing.
Maybe blow out shavings from the ejector rod stop? Lube hole?

I don't know, either, but I assume it's an access hole for roll pin installation at the factory.

I think thats the access point to lube the locking bolt assembly and/or to insert a thin tool to relive the spring pressure from the bolt pin, never dealt with removing one personally. Somebody will be correcting me I'm sure if I'm wrong.

The roll pin goes straight through, don't need the bottom hole for that.
