Ron has been the best Florida Governor in my lifetime. Perhaps the Best Governor anywhere. Are you concerned or not about how this whole Presidential run is looking? Specifically that who is backing and supporting him and running his campaign may not be good people. His MSM support looks a little too friendly to me. Anyone getting bad vibes? Anyone Not worried? |

I don't mind him running, and whoever wins the primary is still going to have plenty of opposition from all directions. I try to fix my FOV on the one who does have the power to change things for everyone. Not ashamed I can't do it by myself and need Jesus help every day. |

I'm more worried about members here that are being easily duped by him and refuse to look behind the curtain because they have Trump Derangement syndrome. I'm not worried about him winning the nomination because that's not going to happen . Trump will win the nomination |

Yes. I get pure politician vibes from him. I get all the signs of "I'm going to promise you the world and deliver nothing" like the rest of them. I'm concerned that the average American is no longer able to tell who is bullshitting them and who isn't. |

I understand that he has more broad based support than Trump, though Trump’s support seems more solidified. I think DeSantis is a stronger candidate in the general, but Trump will win the primary. Trump’s strength and track record are impressive, but his negatives, and the way he just roles the Left, make me fear we’ll see another Biden/Harris term, and the total destruction of our nation. DeSantis would be a more effective President, and has more executive/political intelligence. He also served, and this country needs someone willing to wear the uniform, and take that oath, in charge. If Trump wins, if… he needs to totally get behind DeSantis for the next election. But I think his ego comes before what’s good for the Nation. It’s his biggest flaw. |

He can run if he wants. I don’t think he will get the nomination. That being said I just don’t like the guy. I just get the “Politician” vibe from him whenever he opens his mouth and I’m sick of that. That and the fact he’s already aligning himself with the Bushes, Carl Rove etc…..Nope….Not interested. |
| I've taken a lethal dose of black pills at this point. I'm not concerned because I know exactly how 2024 will go, and how everybody will act about it. There's no point in getting emotionally invested in something that's too late to change and I have no control over. |

I'm concerned that the average American is no longer able to tell who is bullshitting them and who isn't. So everything he has delivered for Florida the last 6 years has been "nothing?" The guy has a track record, you can judge how he'll govern by how he already has |

Quoted: So everything he has delivered for Florida the last 6 years has been "nothing?" The guy has a track record, you can judge how he'll govern by how he already has However, it's worth keeping in mind that his success in Florida is predicated by having a legislature behind him that mostly rubber stamps whatever he asks them to. Assuming he did end up in the White House, those same conditions won't be present, and he won't be nearly as effective as he was as governor. We saw the same thing happen with trump when he got in. |

This man is literally in a war with Disney, actively supports gun rights, and actively against CRT in our schools. He also has been EFFECTIVE at getting thing done for his causes in spite of media hatred. My left leaning parent in Florida think he is the devil and is a crazy right winger. Yet so many on this board complain he is just another politician and support Trump as he did something amazing while he was president. I will say it again, Trump was an ineffectual leader who accomplished very little in his term as president other than energize the left. If he is the nominee, I will vote him. However, Trump is in no way the best choice moving forward. |
|
Quoted: The fact that he has a politically correct gloss when he talks tells me everything I need to know. He is out of touch with the rage voters have against the evil left. Cut the PC bullshit and talk like a man. A real human. Yeah, the guy who constantly says "Florida is where woke goes to die" is politically correct and out of touch with voters who hate the left. ![]() |

Quoted: To some people, his track record is meaningless because he has big financial backers. I'm not one of them. However, it's worth keeping in mind that his success in Florida is predicated by having a legislature behind him that mostly rubber stamps whatever he asks them to. Assuming he did end up in the White House, those same conditions won't be present, and he won't be nearly as effective as he was as governor. We saw the same thing happen with trump when he got in. While true, we also saw Trump pick crap people and get in his own way due to his narcissism. I supported Trump, liked many of his policies, but I don't get the Trump cultists |

I agree. I don't doubt what he's accomplished in Florida, but I'm doubting that we will see the same from a President DeSantis. The whole government is rigged against anyone who wants to do pretty much anything that truly benefits Americans. I think he likes his current life too much to be willing to throw it away trying to REALLY fix things. It's like everyone is watching politics like it's their favorite TV show and they're expecting the outcome to turn out as-expected. When it doesn't, they look over to the next show and do it again. What makes Ron DeSantis different than the leagues of politicians that came before him? I'm tired of the whole game because we never win. No one except the government ever wins. But everyone keeps thinking it'll be different this time without being able to point out how. OP, what makes you think the federal government in all of their corrupt, greedy, selfish nature will allow DeSantis to accomplish anything at all? |

I think Trump will have more support now in Washington than he did previously. DeSantis will have a much tougher time gaining support in Washington and trying to govern in the same manner he did in Florida. Any affiliation with Carl Rove or the Bush family tells you we will get fucked again. |

Quoted: and then lose to Biden They are perfectly fine with that. Trump supporters enjoy being the victim. Losing might actually be preferable. They can continue to feel sorry for themselves and hide behind the curtain of “stolen elections” to avoid seeing the loser in the mirror. With a win the spotlight would be on trump again and it didn’t go nearly as well as they like to believe. Being in that position again as a lame duck, hated even more than in 16 would be a disaster. Losing allows the grift to continue for those at the top and a new batch of NFT’s for those at the bottom |

Quoted: That doesn’t make trump not a nyc liberal piece of shit I trust him more than DeSantis That guy is a career politician and will lean which ever way he thinks will get him votes and get elected . If he was POTUS he would go with which ever way the political wind swayed to get reelected . I'm amazed his supporters can' see that . He would hang them out to dry to stay in power if it meant more votes . Trump is just stupid sometimes and made some bad decision's I won't argue that DeSantis is calculating because he is a politician at heart ,Trump isn't |

I think people like you have completely entangled your ego with Trump's fate. That's why you and other Trump supporters engage in so much projection; accusing others of the things Trump has always been doing. Because to admit that it is actually Trump that abandons people when its convenient for him is to acknowledge he'd do the same to you, regardless of the loyalty you've shown. There's no need to emasculate yourselves like this. |

If, for some bizarre reason, you don't like his track record, then man up and say so. But pretending like DeSantis is some unknown variable or a likely squish is disingenuous. |

Quoted: This would be a fair criticism of someone like Ramaswamy; a man with no track record in the political arena. He can talk a good game but who knows what he'd actually do. DeSantis has a track record, first as a House Rep and as a Governor of the 3rd largest state. If, for some bizarre reason, you don't like his track record, then man up and say so. But pretending like DeSantis is some unknown variable or a likely squish is disingenuous. Vivek is talking a great game, but yes he has very little public time in the Arena to look at. |

I think he'll end up being a lifetime politician and fall in line with the rest of the system. I'd prefer Trump since he's a totally despised outsider by the establishment and has a lot of personal reasons to scale back gub overreach but I doubt he can win again. He'll probably be lucky if he's not Epstien'ed if he starts gaining a lot of momentum. How's Ron going to handle all the sexual charges when they pop up by the girls when he was a coach? |
|
Quoted: It’s hard to trust any politician. With that said, I hope he becomes President one day. I just wish him and Trump would stop the mud slinging and attack Biden instead. I’ll vote for one or the other. Depends on the message. "Him" isn't doing the mudslinging. |
