I'm 1/8 Russian, but I'm pretty sure I'd get banned if I started posting pictures of my junk.

I have this thing, but I don't know what it does. I don't read Russian. It makes my eyes feel funny when I stare into it though.

1911 and AKs are probably the coolest interesting and arguably the funnest to shoot but they are outdated.
The difference is Russia is still using outdated junk |

always wanted a Tokarev 7.62, but never got my hands on one... cool looking and the essential commie pistol IMO.

Vostok watch, AFG Panama hat with small sickle pin and some other hat with a big hammer/sickle.
Dad brought over some religious icons and a bunch of other junk traded for Marlboro cigs. Russian/Ukrainian, they're all corrupt as shit. Almost bought a UaZ 469 for $13k. |

I traded for this uniform shortly after the Berlin Wall came down. We did a big airshow in Lawica, Poland. Attached File Attached File My F-15 was parked next to a Russian SU-27 and our crews were having a great time at the after-show party.....right up until the Russians decided to have a coup against Gorbachev and the whole party got shut down. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Soviet_coup_d'%C3%A9tat_attempt In typical USAF aircraft maintenance fashion--bold enough to make our Irish ancestors proud--most of us managed to sneak off post and hitch rides into town to continue our drunken debauchery. It turned out to be a lot easier to get out than it was to get back in.......we had hitched a ride on a potato truck--made sure that the 80 year old farmer never had an empty glass, and he was happy to hang out and give us a lift back. Rickety old farm flatbed, loaded down with about 50 shitfaced drunk military of several nationalities (US, UK, Hungarians, Polish, Czech Aussies and Germans). When we pulled up to the gate, the guard didn't know what to do, and we had to wait for the Polish military liason to show up and let us back in. |

I was just starting to take some pics of my collection as I organize after moving.

Attached File Picked this up at a gun show in the early 90's. Has decent glass, I still use it. |

Still have two black rabbit(?) Ushanka hats I bought off the street in Moscow. Like wearing a microwave oven on your head.
Sort of mid 90s. People had tables set up selling everything they had. Full uniforms, medals, daggers....our intourist guide warned us customs was cracking down hard on trying to take "heritage" stuff out of the country, and we passed on some very cool swag. Found out later those "guides" all worked for the intelligence services. |

Nothing Russian that I can think of, maybe some steel cased ammo somewhere. But I do have a tool made in Ukraine though.
