In what capacity?  I guess I would for the 22 if it's made in Turkey for Winchester.  But for the regular lever guns like the 94, 1886, etc - Winchester (Miroku) makes much higher quality guns than Henry does.

I meant the Turkish 22 lever gun “made” by Winchester

Their Japanese guns are awesome, no complaints here

I do wish they'd lose the AR grip and especially the AR trigger guard. And I don't know why the stock/trigger housing junction has that awful double-scallop area.

We've seen this many, many times. A "classic" rifle gets reproduced but in a "tacticool" format that nobody wants, it fails in the marketplace, owners find a way (at great cost) to mod the rifle into what they wanted it to be, and the manufacturer discontinues the base rifle as a money-loser. If they would just make the rifle the way nearly all of their customer base wants it, they'd sell great. But they "kNoW bEtTeR".

That said this year's PTR-63 looks a lot better than last year's. While I think it's silly/dumb, I can live with the AR-pattern grip, but please fix that stock/trigger housing interface and preferably lose the dumb AR trigger guard.

I have a '33 handguard laying around I can slap on it.

Agreed 100%, and to your point about the 33 handguard, that thing looks like it takes a G3 length hand guard…

I'm glad I got one of their PTR-93s when they built on small lot of parts kits. Was hoping they would come out with a new line of PTR-93s but i guess now it's the PTR-63.

100% spot on. I’ve got money to buy anything I want. I want original looking clones. I watch all the forums and people with money want original, tacticool is ok but let them butcher up original clones if they want. I want original with the ability to swap in original parts if I want.

Same here. Full size ran fine from the get go. K also got an RCM 80 degree for the can.

Thanks guys. Really, very much appreciated! It's been hard to find aggregated information about these. I don't necessarily mind spending a bit more to get it to run right, but figuring out what I need is the hard part. I only just found out about the different locking pieces.

Still haven't decided between full size and K.

HK ejector on the left, Turk on the right. Strangely enough they can put out parts like that but overall the fit and finish is better than several HKs I've seen.

Allow me to dissent from popular AR15.com opinion again. Proudly.

I will never, ever, ever - in a bajillion gazillion years, ever use that thing. No amount of podcasting homos dressed in their operator-chic with their cool bro tattoos and beards will ever convince me a pistol gussied up like a carbine is viable. Jesus Christ himself could rapture everybody and come down and tell me to accept the Flux into my heart and I can go too and I'll still refuse. NUH UH! That bullshit is gayer than kissing your bearded cousin in broad daylight at your war hero grandpa's funeral. I fucking refuse to accept.

Off topic, but;

Screen name checks out;

MP5SD configuration as owned by “the Regiment” checks out.

Instant recognition of the range/photo background by yours truly as associated with “the 75th” checks out.

PS to ScrolledandTabbed; if you ever saw one in the pile where the stock/receiver area looked as if it was ground down by a drunk with a bench grinder, I can tell you the story third hand.

After my last visit to a local 1/75 arms 5 or so years ago, NOT surprised those ancient guns are still in inventory (late 70’s, early 80’s), they must be smoothbores by now.

Yes to both. Not sure why these companies don’t make more exact copies of HKs and why do they feel the need to throw ugly stocks and mlok hand guards on everything?
