What would be your "SHTF " COMBO? If you can grab 1 rifle and 1 handgun? If cost was exactly the same and if you would never be able to get any spare parts or aftermarket items. This is a SHTF scenario where your guns are based on performance and ability as is. I think I would choose a Cz Bren 2 11" 5.56 with a Walther PPQ Navy or a Colt Mk18 and a Cz p-10C. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your help!

I’ve been to war as an Infantryman. I’ll take equal weight in loaded rifle magazines for my AR for the pistol. Pistols have very limited utility.

G19 and BCM 14.5” middy.
Just like I’ll take along to work today. |

Choosing from what I have on hand, it would be:
11.5” 5.56 AR with suppressor Walther P22 with suppressor ETA: I have zero combat or military experience |
Im confused. Is this Go to War or SHTF, bc in war, you can often get hour weapon repaired or get spare parts.
Anything with a bumpstock.
Anything with a suppressor. 2 very deadly items |
My 10.5 .223 Wylde Franken Build...suppressed with as many mags as I could carry.
My Glock 19 with 3-5 extra mags. |
A calculator, a pen, and some blank paper.
ETA: Sorry, missed the 'SHTF'. In that case, it's going to be once-used scrap paper, and I'm going to have to write on the back/in the margins. |

If the Red Scourge was marching my way across Nevada I would show up in the cannon fodder line with a SCAR 17, Glock 19x and a box of donuts.
Daniel Defense V11 with Aimpoint and OTAL IR laser. 8 mags.
Glock 17 with night sights and TLR1. 3 mags. Ceramic body armor, helmet,IFAK,and PVS14. Stark fucking naked except for boots and a multicam banana hammock. |
If SHTF I would probably show up with clorox spray and bounty paper towels.
Now TEOTWAWKI is a totally different thing. AR15 with ACOG and a suppressed Buckmark. |
I'm going to use my 357 revolver as the jack of all trades. No sense in carrying the extra weight associated with the rifle, the rifle ammunition, and the magazines.
If I'm wanted in war then I'm sure the recruiters would give me a rifle. |
Easy. A suppressed .22 rifle and suppressed .22 pistol.
I don’t plan on fighting any wars, so I want whatever lets me hunt while drawing the least attention to myself. Once everyone else is done killing each other, maybe then I'll venture down out of the mountains, but probably not. If society has completely fallen apart, there's really no reason to attempt to rejoin society, is there? |
Im gonna go with my bolt gun and G17.
I don't plan on getting close enough to people, I prefer to engage from afar. |

That depends on the nature of SHTF but generally, 14.5 middy with LPVO and a comp’d and RMR’d G19.
My HK Mark 23 w/ KAC suppressor and Insight LAM-1450, and an HK G3K or my mid-length CAR-15.
M4gery and G23 (I have a lot more .40 than 9mm at the moment, or I would say G19).
11.5" AR in 5.56 with a can, an LVPO, white light, and IR Laser/Illuminator.
Glock 17 with an RMR and an X300UA. |
Out of what I currently own, 16" AR-15 with 3-9x scope + DBAL D-3, HK Mark 23 with suppressor and DBAL-PL
Probably a lmt 16 inch mid length with enhanced bolt. Glock 19. Ammo and mags are plentiful. Nice shooter, not much stress on the operating system with the lmt.
Maybe a mosin depending on the situation, |
My 14.5 5.56 AR and my G34.
I'm pretty well dug in on that opinion. |
