I'll take my AR and G19. There will be spare parts available nearly everywhere.

For war, me too. For a SHTF fantasy, sometimes it’s nice to be able to conceal a weapon. A lightweight AR15 with an Acog or other optic that doesn’t depend on batteries and handgun in a common caliber (.45, 9mm or .357). View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Sr15 mod 2 14.5"
Glock 19 Normally would choose 11.5" mod 2 but if it was truly end of the world I'd probably want the longer kac gas system |

I removed go to war because as was pointed out go to war and shtf are 2 different realities and shtf better described my desired purpose. Sorry about the confusion View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

A suppressed, subsonic pistol would be very useful in. SHTF scenario. A concealable firearm is very useful whereas in war it is nigh irrelevant. SHTF suggests more self reliance whereas war is the ultimate team sport back by the logistics muscle of a nation state. |

If I had to choose it’d be an AR of approx 16 in length with an acog and my G19.
As stated before, as a card carrying 11B CIB, a pistol is only needed to help fight my way to a rifle. I’d rather have more mags and ammo for my rifle |

Why rifle/pistol combo?
Why not an SBR in 5.56 and a long range rifle in 308/6.5/.50 |

My Galil Ace .308 rifle and NHC 10mm 1911 pistol. The Galil in .308 will out shoot, out last, and remain reliable a lot longer than any AR15 rifle. Especially since Op says no spare parts, which I guess also means no cleaning equipment either?

From my available firearms...
10.5" suppressed 5.56 SBR and CZ 75B. |

Clearly you have never seen the John Wick movies. All one needs for combat is a $5,000 custom built competition pistol with a bunch of cuts in the slide to defeat scores of attackers. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ive got three different 16” AR’s with some sort of RDS (Trijicon MRO, Aimpoint PRO, or an MTAC). Chest rig with 8 mags, trauma kit, etc. Glock 19 and spare mags.
Haven’t thought about a shotgun in a while, I guess looking how big a box of 25 12-ga shells is, and comparing how much 5.56 ammo can fit in the same space has made them irrelevant. I still have a Rem 1100, Winchester 97 riot gun and a coach gun in the safe but they’re not what I’d grab first. |

I'm going to go with something unique and quite unusual. Ar15 in 5.56 and a 9mm Glock. Whoa!
|

For my rifle, that'd be my 11.5" AR.
I'd replace the pistol with rifle ammo, but if I had to take a pistol it'd be my P938, since it's A) small & light B) reliable C) my only pistol |

Is this a Roomba-run-over-dog-turd SHTF or is it a Trump-doesn't-get-re-elected SHTF?

Ruger Charger w/suppressor or HK G3K HK MK23 w/LAM & Suppressor |

My M1A scout suppressed, and my P226STE.
Will consider replacing the M1A scout with an AR10 if I can solve one of the fitment issues in my AR10. |

I would take my 14.5" BCM and my Glock 26. The 26 conceals easily and is small and light enough that I can forget I'm wearing it while working. The AR always works and has all my fanciest thing attached to it.

Given age, hips and knees my primary strategy is avoid contact and survive. The survival element would revolve heavily around "eat". My militia role would probably be sentry/logistics/mechanic.
I'd carry a Browning BPS with a light, side saddle, sling and spare rifled barrel, and a carefully selected assortment of shells. Small game and deer is what's for dinner, but a rifled slug is a powerful deterrent out to the distances I can still clearly see. Probably carry the P938 and one spare mag in the prison wallet, which is going to come as a nasty surprise to the people who take me captive...about the only situation where I can imagine needing it. |
