My cat has only murder on his mind.
Bezos Earth Fund is giving $60 million toward revamping alternative proteins A review of the signatories on this declaration indicates most of the expertise is in philosophy, psychology, and environmental studies. The group asserts that a wide array of species, including lobsters, fish, octopi, and insects, can experience elements of consciousness and sentience. First, there is strong scientific support for attributions of conscious experience to other mammals and to birds. Second, the empirical evidence indicates at least a realistic possibility of conscious experience in all vertebrates (including reptiles, amphibians, and fishes) and many invertebrates (including, at minimum, cephalopod mollusks, decapod crustaceans, and insects). Third, when there is a realistic possibility of conscious experience in an animal, it is irresponsible to ignore that possibility in decisions affecting that animal. We should consider welfare risks and use the evidence to inform our responses to these risks. |

But 64 miillion abortions are just fine. Right up until birth.

Eventually we will believe that fungus are the biggest consciousnesses on this planet - and that trees have feelings.

I mean, okay, I can get behind that I guess.
But I've seen bugs fly straight into campfires and burn to death, so I'm not really too impressed. |

So do cows, pigs, chickens. Doesn’t stop me from eating them.

For critters, cephalopods have demonstrated some level of “intelligence” this is nothing new. Organisms with far simpler central nervous systems like arthropods and insects? Yea, I’m calling BS a on that. I’ve never read anything that suggests they have ANY measurable intelligence
|

I have no doubt that cephalopods are sentient and they are also aware that we are as well.

I don't care if they have consciousness. They taste good so I eat them

I've signed multiple declarations proclaiming fish and lobster to be delicious. I always called them "receipts."

Hell, I might be okay with irradiating and virus bombing their planets. Followed by extensive and horrifying scientific experiments on them at all stages of development to ensure that their very DNA was expunged from everywhere in the universe except maximum security laboratory facilities. Then it's all a matter of definition.
Mine is that any animal that refrains from eating other animals and can fill out a form requesting that i not eat it, I will refrain from eating. |

Bald faced hornets have ground and air combat training. Scouts will watch every move you make and call in air support when needed.

I’m will continue to consume beef, chicken, fish, and pork. Can’t stop. Won’t stop.

Oh, for the love of…
Can these vegan cockwits just fuck off, already? Sentient shellfish… What’s next, intelligent insects? Evil goldfish? Talking turds? |

Well if lobsters were intelligent you would think they would have learned not to crawl into lobster traps by now

Good. I want spiders to know why they're being executed for entering my domain illegally.

Octopi is grammatically incorrect.
The correct plural of octopus is octopodes. Octopuses is also acceptable. |

They're still tasty.
Is this how we normalize cannibalism? Just another kind of "consciousness?" |

Still more than commies have. And at least fish, lobsters and octopi can be delicious.

Like most issues we're psyop'd into, the truth usually isn't a binary choice. Aquinas wrote about the difference of souls in the 13th century, and it's pretty spot on. Put simply, you have humans that are rational, animals which react to stimuli, and plants which clearly are living but can't convey things to us or exhibit any sort of emotion.
Killing animals humanely is a part of every major world religion. So we've known this for a very long time. What these trash psyops are trying to get you to do, is ignore the fact you eat dead animals that were killed so you could eat, and pretend a shittier animal should die so you can eat. It's just such trash. LBJ legit lied about eggs to hide fiscal policy, and NPR bragged about it. These fucking people are preying on you not being normal, and trying to make not normal more common. Direct source for egg claim These people only care about power and control. They do not care about your health, and their false concern for animals is a convenient guise to hide their true intentions. Also we need to end central banking |
