I don't watch football but I'd say by the picture, it's a black power salute. Anyway back to tube8.

Someone could say "Some of you guys need a better hobby than watching football."

NFL fans are no different than the players who some are "outrage"ing about.

Enjoy your game and condoning rapists, murders, corporate welfare whores, public risk for private gain and all the kneeling...that game isn't welcomed in our home.

Our family is a better off without the NFL.

I don't miss anything about it anymore. Not stats nor play or score. No one in my sports circle even talks about it anymore and a few were super fans.

So many people who are paying attention have moved on.

I thought it was four fingers. Yep, google image search confirms.

I've never seen that done before in a game.

A closed fist does signal 4th down, but what Michael Bennett did was a black power salute.

If you’re a football fan you’ve been seeing players hold up four fingers at the start of each 4th quarter from some time now. It doesn’t matter if its little league, high school, college or even professional football. They all do it.

When you see the four fingers in the air you know what it means. It means it’s the 4th quarter its time to dominate, its time to shut the other team out, its time to dig deep and worm extra hard.

Can't be outraged if I don't watch it or voluntarily give money to the NFL.

Now people know why I hate publicly funded stadiums for druglords and murderers. And those are just the politicians that sit in seats for free.

I know Michael Bennett, he went to A&M and I've gotten to meet him a couple times before he was pro, and have family that consider him "friend".

Not racist or asshole, second only to Von Miller for being the straitest laced Pro Football Aggie Grad of the last 10y.

So you don't know the player, and don't have any frame of reference to what he's doing but you're going to jump to a conclusion based on 2sec of video.

Seems like you're a very deep thinker.

His agent told him to do it. Perfect to create internet buzz.

"Oh hell it will be all over the internet in minutes. Half of them will be saying it's just the 4th down indication, and half will be saying it's a black power salute. It's goint to be epic ...... the crackers will go nuts."

Interesting perspective. Calling out cops as racist for doing their job, sitting during the national anthem, and displaying the black power salute after sacking a white QB.  I'm still going with racist asshole.

Can you imagine the outrage if a white player tackled a black guy and then gave the nazi salute?  It would be national news.

I don't give two fucks what some football player does, it is the hypocracy that I find outrageous.

That would be awesome if JJ Watt buried a blk qb..and did the Hitler salute OMG that would be great watching the meltdown.

Pro sports are killing the golden goose, white, wealthy males.  I went to one NBA game, the Heat. It was all white people, with high end jewelry and Tahoes, in the parking lot. Same with the Dolphins. It costs $200 and up to go yo these games. Around here, black people don't go, esp the NBA games. Keep pudding on people like my neighbor who is a Heat fan, with season tix, and all the dumb swag.

He was leaving a casino where there was a shots fired report. People inside the casino including Bennett where fleeing to safety.

And not a bit of that matters as he obviously did the black power salute on that video I just watched.  Don't really care.  Don't watch the NFL anymore.  Won't watch the crap again til they clean up their act.

You can kid yourself all you want, and that guy may be an awesome human being.  I make no judgement on that.  BUT WITHOUT ONE SINGLE DOUBT THE STANCE HE TOOK WITH HIS FIST RAISED WAS THE BLACK POWER SALUTE.  You can deny all you want, anybody else can too, but you are kidding yourself.  HE DID WHAT HE DID.  And I could not care less because I turned it off, A couple years ago.

To be fair I have no firm idea wether or not MB actually meant to flash the black power salute, but without further evidence, I'm withholding judgement.

I haven't paid attention to football for years, but it appears to me in the black power salute their arm is straight, or mostly straight.  In that picture his elbow is bent at about a 90 degree angle.
