If you already have one polymer striker fired gun in that form factor, why bother.

at best, not especially different than anything else in that segment (the polymer striker fired 9mm being basically an undifferentiated commodity at this point).

At worst, you'll shoot your dick off..
Sure a hell not a collectors item, not going to go up in value.

If you have 250$ in burning a hole in your pocket, I'd find something else to spend it on, like gasoline maybe.

That frame is $419 plus $250-350 for the gun and $100-200 for a optic.

Hell just buy a 9mm PCC vs some conglomeration that uses expensive SIG mags.

So many better priced options.

How about New in Box with night sights & three magazine for $220?  ($240.35 w/ TT&L)

I don't think I'll appendix carry, but a hard bargain to pass up for the money.

Thinking a Flux Raider perhaps. Just need a 4th of July or Black Friday blowout sale...

Depends on the nature of your question.

Should the negligent behavior of others scare you away from buying a pistol? No.

Should you buy a gun simply because it’s cheap? IMO, also no.

I happen to only buy guns I have a purpose for. Now, that purpose might be to have an example of each major manufacturers striker fired polymer pistol. So would I buy an M&P 2.0 for $250? Yes, because I don’t have one yet. Would I buy a P320 for $250? No, already have one. Should you? I mean, if you think there may be an improvement over your Glock, sure. If it’s just to spend $250, no.

Up to you.  I don't like them, not even as a range toy.
6/7/2026 1:21:16 PM EDT

If all you are going to use it for is a range toy, they can be very enjoyable due to the trigger.

I have 13 pistols by Sig (have given away, sold and traded 3 others) and honestly my favorites are the hammer-fired/metal framed guns. But those are usually more expensive, even used. For $250 a P320 would make a fun range toy.

I wouldn’t buy one for any amount of money. My trust is shaken, to say the least. And there are too many amazing striker-fired polymer guns on the market right now to choose one with a reputation like the P320…

I own several and buy every cheap $250 one my local gun shop gets in on trade. I know I’ll never be able to sell or trade them but I don’t care at that price and they are probably my favorite striker fired guns to shoot. I absolutely love my P320 X-VTAC

It depends.  If all you are going to do is take it to the range, put the mag in, rack the slide, fire until empty, wash rinse repeat - then, yeah go for it if you like them.  They are cheap right now.

If you want to carry...think again.

Yes. I have 3. One in a Flux Raider chassis. I don't use them for carry. The 1911 fits that bill nicely.

Get a Flux Raider chassis. They are a hoot. Every time I take it to the range, I get a bunch of people wanting to try it.

Edit: I use ETS 30rd steel feed lip mags through mine now. Bought 8 of them the last sale they had. They work great. Many hundreds of rounds through each mag with zero problems. Nearly all of them my handloads using Blue Bullets powdercoated projectiles.

before the issues I shot a 320 and liked the feel and accuracy. if I had one now id keep it chamber empty perhaps as a spare. from what I see that'd be the safe bet. no way it can fire chamber empty. so its not completely useless

I'd pass on a $2.50 P320.

Yeah.  Those seeds that rotate like a helicopter rotor when they drop from trees.  I had that happen at least twice - in different matches years apart. I went to reholster and was like wtf..     I had a penny wedge itself between the inside of the holster and the trigger guard.  And I had a pull string from a jacket zipper half in and out.

No. I had one when they first came out, put 1300rds through it and didn't really see what the big deal was. And that was long before the problems started showing up, well except for the barrel hood peening issues that SIG said was a non issue.

ETA. where are all these shops selling used 320s for less than $300? The ones I've seen for sale around me are $400+. I guess those shops haven't gotten the memo that they are junk guns.

But according to new information released by the Air Force, authorities now believe Lovan was killed when fellow Airman Marcus White-Allen pointed his M18 handgun “at Lovan’s chest in a joking manner,” and then pulled the trigger. Laboratory tests found no defects with the gun, according to an Air Force statement.

I have an M18 I've put over 7k rounds on. Good gun, reliable at the range, accurate and fun to modify.

Untrustworthy as a carry gun with all the shenanigans going on.

I have M&Ps and 1911s for pistol shooting. No reason to gamble.

No. Look for a Sig 2022. A very nice underrated pistol.

I have to add, though: they work best if you don't have large hands. Mine always pinched my pinky during reloads.
Son #2 has slightly smaller hands and it fits him perfectly.

As I said a few posts ago. . .  why bother when there is SO much competition in that segment of the firearms market?

UNLESS you're a collector and want one for the novelty for its controversial notoriety.

On a budget . . . for a firearm as a highly dependable functional defense weapon, you're pretty much a goofy fool to choose it.

Pfft. I bought mine new for $250 from a certain large LE distributor in Texas who was dumping their stock on GB.

OP, if you want one for a collection or as a range toy (assuming your range will allow them), go for it. If you carry one that's on you. With all the info available, a mishap won't get you any sympathy.

There's not really a reason for polymer strikers outside of the PDP anymore. The pinnacle had been reached.
