I lived in Orzinuovi, Italy for work for a few months.

They had an American fighter in the city. I cant remember what the damn thing was and cant find a picture right now. I was really surprised to see it.

Yes it is.  Though they could have been a bit more careful with the stencils when they repainted it.

About a mile from my office, been there a bunch of times.  It's the last of the WWII subs that you still have to climb in and out of, no easy access.  The interior is very well maintained and they fire up the engines once a year as well.

The airport (Burke Lakefront) right next to the dock has a pair of F-4's displayed out front, one in Blue Angles colors and the other in Thunderbirds colors.

This is a full size fiberglass replica of a P-51D Mustang.

The full scale fiberglass replica of P-51 Mustang, "Ole Yeller" was restored and painted by Fagen Fighters Restoration in Granite Falls, Minnesota.
This Mustang is now permanently mounted at the entrance to Fagen Fighters WWII Museum.

Ah!  I thought it was a real Mustang.  I was thinking "it's a damn shame it on a pole and not getting restored to flight condition".

I don't believe I've ever seen that muzzle device before, yet there's several pictures of them in this thread.

Nor the muzzle device on the Sherman pictured with the Stuart.

Richmond MO city park.   Early on, before they put a fence around it, if you were small enough (like I was) you could crawl up the tailpipe and sit in the cockpit.  I was also skinny enough to crawl through the intakes.

We also had something this in our park for many years.  The Safety Nazis removed it.   We had a much larger howitzer of some sort, as well, that was removed eventually.  I can't find a photo of it that looks like I remember.

That TA-4 is sad. It has corroded through in spots, and is in a not very accurate marine paint scheme. It is actually BuNo 158722, one of the few aircraft that was tually delivered new from the factory to the Blue Angels. It was the primary #7 jet when they flew Skyhawks.

The Lex's guns came from the USS Cabot when she was scrapped !
