If there's any interest, there are well over 2 dozen different static displays around Graf and Vilseck, I could snap some pictures (Shermans, half-tracks, M24 Chaffees, M7 priests...). Got some pics from a museum in Poland too with plenty of soviet gear I can upload later... Not quite in the parameters of the thread, but in the spirit at least.

Great thread. I subscribed and will get you guys a pic of one in Amman, Jordan tomorrow. If I see more then I will snap those too, but I know there is one static display in the middle of a traffic circle outside their General Headquarters. It isn't far from our hotel.

Well I didn't get by the tank, but I did see this one after visiting Aljoun Castle in norther Jordan today. I didn't catch the name of the town we were riding through but it was somewhere between Aljoun and Jaresh.

View Quote That used to be closer to the Cabela's, as there was a small museum there. The museum is closed, but the left the T-38's there for a while. I was glad that when they were moved, it was just to the airport and not somewhere much farther away. |

View Quote I've have to get a pic of that and the Anchor and Ship's Bell from the Heavy Cruiser USS St Paul CA73 The roads down to the Capitol are a mess right now with construction, it was faster to drive to Atkin from Anoka then it was to St Paul |
