If there's any interest, there are well over 2 dozen different static displays around Graf and Vilseck, I could snap some pictures (Shermans, half-tracks, M24 Chaffees, M7 priests...).  Got some pics from a museum in Poland too with plenty of soviet gear I can upload later...   Not quite in the parameters of the thread, but in the spirit at least.

You've met all parameters when you said "static display"

Great thread. I subscribed and will get you guys a pic of one in Amman, Jordan tomorrow. If I see more then I will snap those too, but I know there is one static display in the middle of a traffic circle outside their General Headquarters. It isn't far from our hotel.

These are all from Rose Barracks, Germany.  Next time I've got a second, I'll snap some pics of what's on Graf.

M24 Chaffee

Another M24

Yet another M24, with some manner of earthmover and an M3 scout car.  There are 2 more m24s, didn't bother to take pictures.

Some variant on the M3 half-track. There are so many variations (incl. M3/5/9/15 etc), I don't know specifically what this one is.  There are a few more of these too, didn't take pics.

Captured Iraqui T-72(?) from the 1st Gulf War

155mm "Long Tom"

M74 tank Recovery Vehicle, converted from an M4A3 in the 50's

M8 Greyhound (couple more of these laying around too)

I'll snag some more photos soon.

Well I didn't get by the tank, but I did see this one after visiting Aljoun Castle in norther Jordan today. I didn't catch the name of the town we were riding through but it was somewhere between Aljoun and Jaresh.

Who can tell us what it is? I sure don't know.

That used to be closer to the Cabela's, as there was a small museum there. The museum is closed, but the left the T-38's there for a while.

I was glad that when they were moved, it was just to the airport and not somewhere much farther away.
