Hate to break it to most of GD but hollyweird has been recycling movies for over 80 years. Every once in a while an original script will be made into a movie but for the most part we've been watching the same shit since ETA Oh, FPNI. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Hollywood is out of fresh ideas, now it's just recycling shit from 30 years ago. "Hey, it worked once, almost 2 generations ago, let's do it again!" ETA Oh, FPNI. |

“In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.”
Great movie. Leave it be. |

The original 1932 version was anti-gun propaganda. There was even a disclaimer flashed on the screen at the beginning telling the audience that the violence depicted in the film is not heroic and is a serious issue in the country, and urgently asks the public, “What are you going to DO about it?”
GCA was passed in 1934. |

Diego Luna as Toni Montana, I don't think so. Diego cannot pull off hard core drug dealing killer.

Benicio Del Torro should have been cast for Tony. View Quote Tony Montana was a high energy character, governed by emotion, prone to overreact, like Sonny Corleone in The Godfather. Pacino was perfect in that role IMO. Benicio could play Manny but not Tony unless they rewrite the character or BDT has a different persona in his skill set. |

FIRST THE PACINO SCAR FACE IS A REMAKE
secondjust because you can remake doesn't mean you should. |

Put it in a high medieval fantasy setting and call it Face of Scars: Tony of House Montana and we might have something there. Especially if he has a flaming sword and a pet tiger View Quote |

I thought Scarface sucked ass. Not that I have met a lot of Cubans, but I have never heard any that talked like Tony.

I've found her attractive in other films, just not that one. Her sister Dedee is way hotter. |

It is dated, barely watchable, and Pacino's performance was horrible.
Why not remake it? Nothing better to do. |
