It has been more than 20 years since I have drawn a bow. I joined a well known and nice archery range a year ago. I can afford whatever I need. I just have not made time for it. I think about it a lot. I have so many things in my life. Most of them are things I want, but I really want to get back into archery.

This. I still shoot to get ready for hunting season but I used to shoot 3d Tournaments a lot. Haven't in years.

Camping.

I've promised my wife for about 5 years that she and I will be going to do an overnight trip when the lows are in the 30s and I've failed miserably at getting that to happen.

All the gear checks out (tent, sleeping bags, big agnes air pads, jetboil, etc.) but it just hasn't happened yet.

I used to really enjoy riding my 350X. Exploring the woods/mountains. Finding old farms (everything from a farmhouse that looks like someone just packed up and left to a pile of old chimney stones covered in leaves.)

We had a group of 3 to 4 hardcore (rode every weekend regardless of the weather) with 2 or 3 more that would ride some days.

Fly RC airplanes. Twenty years ago it was a HUGE part of my life. Stuff happened and it went to the back burner. Hope to pick it up again someday.

Surfcasting for striped bass. I used to live in Long Beach NY and me a few buddies would meet up after work and fish til past midnight all the time rather than going home and watching tv…. The fresh salt air, sunsets and the sound of the waves alone is good for the soul, but nothing beats the adrenaline rush you get when a big one strikes your lure and starts peeling line off your reel!

I haven’t even been able to wet a line since I blew out my ankle in 2020, had to have all three anterior ligaments reconstructed and an Arthrex brace drilled into my bones last year and then had the hardware taken out this March. I’d give anything to be able enough to get in on the fall run this year…

Flying my own plane. 95% of the time was just my own Cessna 150, but it was a great mind clearing activity in the evenings after work.
Someday I will return to it, I hope.until then it will h ave to just be RC, but even that I hadn't been able to do much of for the past 2-3 years.

Also fishing from the boat, it's just a StarCraft 14' , sort of like a bass boat with the consoles and floor, but aluminum hull, . The engine has not been started in a very long time. When COPD really started to wear down on my Dad, he had to give up most fishing. The engine is only a 9.9HP mercury the lake my Dad and uncle used to fish most often was limited to 10HP, so that's what they got. I'd been wanting to step up to a 25HP engine. And sonar has really progressed since I upgraded them from a POS ray Jefferson "fish finder" to a hummingbird 3D. The RJ had such a minuscule beam, maybe 2 degrees or something absurd, I think I only ever saw one fish on it.
Needs a new trolling motor too. One with GPS tracking and hold.

My uncle is a certified scuba instructor. He taught me, I was strangely comfortable doing it. It was fun. I never pursued it any further than to dive under his supervision.

WE have had a very busy May and June. Yesterday was the first completely down day we have had in the 2 months. Just sitting back and doing nothing was great.
