A nearly 20 year marriage to a liberal woman, who’s an educator, that’s pretty damn good and all of the rough patches have been a result of my behavior while drinking.

View Quote samo. my wife was a teacher for 20 years and a full principal for 11. she looks at life emotionally and idealistically. I do not. I have often told her she is a rotten liberal, as she believes in law and order, a strong military, a balanced budget, personal responsibility and the first amendment. she has some pretty strong conservative policies. she sometimes asks if i remembered to wear a gun & she tries to buy me guns. neither of us can stand to watch the news. to be fair, as a principal in a poor county, she had to make decisions and take action in ways I never had to consider. she came by her beliefs honestly. she has given up on educating and healing the world and now wants to just be left the hell alone. |

Quoted: Galland was quite an "autograph whore" in his later years. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Not odd, but I do have Adolph Galland's signature in a book. I also have Tex Hill (AVG) among other American aces. I have a couple of hardcover books signed by Carlos Hathcock and a couple of photos. Got one of Chuck Mawhinney too. Rear Admiral Eugene Fluckey (USS Barb) and Jimmy Doolittle and Don Lopez (dec.)(Asst. Director of the Smithsonian Aviation & Space Museum). Galland was quite an "autograph whore" in his later years. I heard him speak twice at the NMUSAF in the 1970's (maybe in to the early 80's). He signed some stuff for me personally. I understand that there are still thousands of cut and sticker autographs around that he did later in life. Just waiting to be slapped on the latest print. |

Bright yellow Sculptura telephone, otherwise known as a "donut phone".
Though I don't use it as a phone, it still works fine. Just a conversation piece now. |

My Grandparents had a friend named Goucher Lamb. He had no family, and has been dead for 60 years. I own his wallet, pocket knife, and all his worldly papers.
I also own the wallets of two Grandfathers, and one Grandmother. It's not like I collect that shit, but it feels wrong to get rid of it. |

An Ivy education.
A cat that actually loves me. Starring credits in feature films. A belief that even the politicians “we” like are not good people looking out for us. An inner sense of being creeped out by the folks that always post demands about seeing pics of any woman someone talks about. (Wives, daughters, whatever)….but yeah, I wanna see the pics as well. |

Training in how Sayeret Matkal practices “Israeli carry” from one of their officers
(He hinted at involvement in stuff that was in the news in 88 and 89, Abu Jihad and Sheikh Obeid, he was a roommate at college studying law and revered by all the other Israeli students so I would be surprised if he was lying). I know GD jokes about it but that guy could draw one handed (using his belt to chamber a round) and get shots on target before most people could get their gun out of the holster. |

I have my grandmothers straight razor.
She carried it in her dress pocket for as long as I could remember. I was fascinated by it when I was a kid. They didn't have much, but she left it to me when she died. Attached File |
