Maybe in wide scale mass production(or US produced). I think there was one early in the 20’s that was a FWD, but was obviously not large scale or particularly long lived, or an import. That car looks exactly like one my brother had back before he got married. His new bride made him get rid of it along with his matching 1970 442 and 442 convertible. I have to wonder if that might not be the same Toronado? The background in the photo suggests it is in North Carolina to me. |

Foot still buried in the gas, he jerked the steering wheel. Hit the mustang with the front corner of an 88 ranger. Knocked it into the boat tail. Knocked the boat tail about 10ft on the second impact. He was probably doing 40 at least when he hit them. |
