why did they feel the need to decelerate down to try to get exactly 27000?
(they overshot though and settled at 26998)

Probably a better thrust to weight ratio than other rockets...………..I remember watching Skylab launch, and it looked like it would take forever to get into the sky

Also, it was strange that the video feed cut out during the landing.  Showed the feed from the 1st stage coming down, a few seconds of lost feed screen, and then there it was sitting on the drone ship.  If I were part of the tin foil brigade, I’d be suspicious.
