I disagree.

I think the best lightsaber duel of the entirety of Star Wars was Ashoka vs. Vader.

Each duel has its strong points. For emotion, I would go with Ahsoka vs. Vader or Anakin vs. Obi-wan. For technicality, Sidious vs. Maul and Savage or Anakin vs. Obi-wan. For the most iconic, Luke vs. Vader in ESB.

Overall, I think the best duel in the series is Anakin vs. Obi-wan because it is highly technical (and according to professional swordfighters, surprisingly well done), the setting is really cool, and the emotion behind it is there, especially after watching TCW. The only digs against it are its length and a few over-the-top moments.

Just finished the Fives story arc. Holy shit that was intense. My daughter was actually crying when he died and said, ‘I don’t want to watch this show anymore.’

What is a professional "swordfighter" nowadays?
Unless you're in a 3rd world country it's a sport.

My daughter is killing me. We’ve got two episodes left of season 6. My plan was to finish it up last night. She has no interest anymore in watching it so I tell her it’s fine she doesn’t have to watch it. Here’s the thing, we started watching this about two years ago together. Me rewatching it; except for season 6, I never saw season 6, so she takes the position that it’s an us thing. Which it is, it was definitely something her and I did together, but I want to finish watching it because I love this show. She’s upset that people she liked have been killed off and she doesn’t want to finish it. She won’t let me watch it because she feels I’ll be disappointed that she’s not watching it. Honestly, I don’t care if she watches it wit me. I mean yeah, I’d like her to watch it with me but I was watching this show before she was even born. So I’m totally good with her not watching it.

Ahhh...the joys of having children.

Just watched it. It’s good, but if you’ve seen any of the unfinished episodes that are on YouTube, you’ve already seen this one. Kind of disappointing that they led off with a story arc that’s been out for a few years but at least the finished animation is great.

Plop her butt in a chair and watch them. Those are some of my favorite episodes. After that, you’ve got Season 7 to look forward to!

There was a pretty notable change in today's episode though. I don't remember the conversation between Anakin and Padme being in the unfinished episode.

Yes, that scene was added in because Padmé didn’t have a presence in these arcs, and they wanted her to be in there at least once.

Personally, I’m glad it’s in there. Although we lost the funny reaction to the nose art, this scene makes it pretty clear that Rex and Obi-wan knew about Anakin’s relationship with Padmé. Overall, it makes the whole situation much more believable (I mean really, how could they not have known?).

That disappointed me a bit. They could’ve left it on the ship for other scenes. But I guess the feminazis who currently run Lucasfilm had a meltdown over it, so RIP the Padmé noseart I guess.

Should’ve left the nose art. Would have been good juxtaposition with the added Padme scene.

New episode is up! This one probably has the best action yet.

Nevertheless, I hate to say it, but unless there are some major changes to the ending of this arc, it feels kinda pointless to have included it in the final season of the show. So far it hasn’t really added any important narratives or plot points to the overarching story. Sure, it’s got a lot of good action, but given that this is the end of the show, it seems like we should’ve gotten an arc that would’ve been building up towards the final conclusion. It’s a fun arc, but so far it’s ultimately filler.

It was very short, only 18 minutes long. Usually they’re about 22-24 minutes.

Hate to say it, but it looks like Disney sunk  its claws into the series. Several scenes deemed to be “offensive” have been removed already. Further, Ahsoka’s original (male) love interest has been removed and replaced with two SJW-looking women, one of whom will probably be her lover. If that happens, I’m out. Not just from this series, but from SW in general. No Mandalorian, no Obi-wan series, no Rebels sequel, no High Republic, no books. I’m just done with it all.

In the original script, Ashoka was to have a male companion who was to be a love interest for her. He seems to have been replaced by the two sisters with SJW-style haircuts, as seen in the trailers. Bet you they have Ashoka start a lesbian relationship with one of them, even though she is clearly attracted to Lux Bonteri and therefore heterosexual.

Assuming the TCW animated series episodes on disney plus from the original run are unedited, I wouldn't consider them appropriate for a kid under 10-12. They are more intense with the quantity of killing and with killing for the wrong reasons(betraying Jedi generals and such). Rebels seems to be more kid friendly but I haven't finished that series. Edit to add...There are sections of clone wars that are more kid friendly, like the episodes where the kids go through Jedi training to find their kyber crystals and have to save Ahsoka.

For reference I think episodes 1-6 are good to go for kids 8 and older with the exception of episode 3's depiction of Anakin killing the Jedi kids....I understand why that was done but it was a bit much for a kid to watch. Heck Mandalorian is ok for an 8 and older kid if they have the background of the 1-6 episodes to explain that it's not just some dude with carrying a baby around on a war path.
