Subaru is on FIRE.
Subaru says Levorg buyers will be able to choose from either a 1.6-liter or 2.0-liter boxer engine, both turbocharged for your speeding pleasure. The first is rated at about 170 horsepower, the second at about 300 horsepower. View Quote ETA Link: http://jalopnik.com/the-subaru-levorg-is-a-hot-turbocharged-wagon-with-a-go-1467926164 |

These is almost a more mature version of the original WRX wagon.
With a 300 hp engine, it is almost the perfect car. Except for ... the transmission. Auto or stick? Give me this car with a 6 speed manual and I will sell my WRX for it next week. I will give up some of the blistering performance for the ability to carry more cargo and, most importantly, big dogs. |
|
Not a fan of wagons, but the front end looks cool. I think it looks better than the new WRX front end.
I just hope Subaru decides to bring the hatch WRX back to the US again eventually. |

about the ugliest fucking thing I have seen lately
just think after spending for the fancy turbo motor a 21k v6 Mustang will likely still take you in a straight line

But if it makes you feel any better my WRX can take a '14 Mustang GT from 0-60. |

I'll be keeping my GD sedan. I'm just not a fan of the new Corolla inspired mini-vans. The new shooting brake is a hit, but I'm just not a fan of this one.

Way better than the middle nostril and squinty Mazda3-like front ends they've recently gone through.

View Quote I'll bet the car in your sig pic is quite the ride. Nice! I am amazed at the dedicated owners and aftermarket that keeps so many older gen WRX's and STI's on the road and in great condition. |

Hah, well mine is rally'd and therefore not really on the road or in good condition

I just want a diesel in the Outback. 25mpg with the whole fam-damly isn't enough. I want to double it.

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is the reported transmission.

I too called Subaru Lesbian Haulers, but I saw one of these yesterday, and did a double take - they've come a long way, that thing looked good!
eta i guess i didn't see that one, but one that looked awfully similar. Not sure what model it was.

More or equal ground clearance than most light trucks or SUVs. Tons of cargo room for family trips, gear etc. Easy to load two small children into. Much better mpg than an SUV. |
|
Yes please! After taking my outback from southern Maine to Quebec City in a snowstorm, I have become a fanboy.
Why the CVT hate? Mine (according to the dash) averages 28 MPG with our mix of highway and city driving. Pure highway without big hills is 30+. Would looooove Diesel option though! |
|
The only thing I want out of this is the 2.0T, so I can stick it in my car.
Otherwise, it's a wagon. |

Why get rid of the Impreza wagon? They're keeping the Impreza hatch, but the WRX is going sedan only. They're separate models now. We knew that already, the WRX was supposed to get its own chassis. But why have an Impreza, a WRX, and now this thing? |

What happened to the days where men drove trucks and not chick vehicles? Oh yeah that pussification of America thing.

They still haven't given me a reason to trade in my bugeye WRX wagon, still think it's the best looking Subaru wagon ever.
They need to bring the boxer diesel to the US. |
|
A few years ago there was some talk of diesel subaru foresters being on the way. Never happened obviously.
At the subaru dealer the other day they told me they were about to get in cross trek hybrids. Apparently using toyota tech as toyoata owns about 20 percent of subaru. |
