View Quote I like taking a high ranking SEC team vs. a high ranking BIG12 team especially early in the season with a low spread either way. Maybe I'm biased, but SEC teams tend not to be as hyped. Texas chokes some as well. LSU chokes seasons more than games. |

The Army - Michigan game could be interesting. View Quote The score in the MTSU game is misleading because Harbaugh treated it like a preseason game and had the 3rd string offense playing most of the second half. |

Happy with OUs performance.
Hurts seems like a good QB. Oline was a step back, but still good. Defense: The last several years was one of the worst in football, I would put them at average in the Houston game. So a huge improvement. ST was the weakest position and even at that had some good plays mixed with the bad. So improving even at the worst position. Just being able to say the defense was better is a huge relief as a fan. It means it is finally moving in the right direction. So very happy and excited from that point of view. Edit: Should call out Murray on defense, spectacular play for the most part. He did miss one tackle, but outside of that was a devastating force on defense. |

I’d expect a lot bigger improvement this year with 8 starters back. |

Quoted: Easily the front-runner Etienne had a helluva game but if the voters look at rushing yards Hubbard from Okie St outgained him. I’d have to give Hurts the edge right now. He had the 5th most rushing yards in week 1 which is pretty dam good considering he’s a QB. Add in his passing yards and he was responsible for 508 yards of offense. |

Yah agree they looked better. Houston ran 69 plays and OU ran 63 iirc. Yardage is going to be high when air raid teams play, so....who cares? OU looked faster and more athletic and that's what you want. Again, I'm happy for Hurts and hope he crushes it except against Baylor. View Quote If I see improvement, heck yeah! They have improved. They were actually able to get 3 and outs. |

In case anybody cares, South Carolina QB Jake Bentley broke his foot Saturday and will be out at least six weeks. The official line is he broke it late in the loss to UNC, however the strong rumor in Columbia is he actually broke it kicking the wall in the locker room after the game.
Bentley will be replaced by true freshman Ryan Hilinski, a 4 star recruit from California. |
