Wife is in Tampa on business and went to Ybor City and sent me these photos.. Now im super jealous. She said it was an amazing sandwich and the bread was soooo good.
Attached File Attached File Street rooster of authentication... you know you're in the right place when there is free range poultry in the streets Attached File I might tag along on her next trip and do a compare and contrast of Tampa vs Miami.. have the Tampa one, then when she is done take a day to head down to Miami and have their version. |

La Segunda makes a fine Cuban
The Patrinostro is ridiculously good as well Attached File As is the Media Noche |

La Segunda makes a good sandwich. My regular place for Cuban sandwiches (and hot Cuban food) to go is the Interbay Meat Market. Go in, order the sandwiches, grab a couple drinks and then drive down the street to the Ballast Point Park and eat on a picnic table by the water.

Tough to find a Cuban sandwich here in Texas. Last time I had one was from Evies subs on Summerland Key.
|
|
Never had a Cuban sandwich in Tampa.
Had a good one near the university of Miami though (shitty neighborhood, but a good sandwich). Had really good black beans from a little trailer in the keys. |
|
I prefer the Tampa style. I loathe everything about Miami, especially all 87 of their trash football fans.
|
|
Tampa is the original and still the best. Miami tards are just wrong.

Tampa is the best.
There was a local Cuban guy on the westside of Indy that made the best Cubans I've had in the Midwest but he retired last summer. :( 16 hours is a long roadtrip just for a sandwich. ...but I'm still tempted from time to time. :D |

La Teresita and Brocato's are also excellent choices in Tampa

I'd be pissed at my wife for taking pics of cock in another city
I didn't realize there were more than one regional variety of Cuban sandwiches, and now I have to try them all. My favorite sandwich bar none. |

Tom's Cuban (off an exit near/at Ocala) had decent samwiches and other goodies....And their Cafe Cubano was the bomb!!!

I love all types of Cubans.
I don’t love seeing evidence of women being given the right to drive. Next we’ll see them voting. |

Ybor knows what they are doing.
have her check out the Colombia restaurant too |

My favorite is the one I make myself.
Smoked pork made by me, boars head smoked ham, provolone, spicy pickles and spicy mustard on whatever good bread is available at the bakery. Occasionally with bacon, which takes it over the top. |

Quoted: Quoted: Seriously, i could live on cubans and grouper sandwiches. Location doesn’t check out. Uh, in GA we had several Venezuelan shops that made filled arepas. Sometimes cuisines spread. At a local coffee shop, I see they have Cuban samwiches and Cuban coffee on the menu...I'm kinda skeptical, but after trying their breakfast burritos, may give it a shot. |

That's a cool area with lots of such places. I'm partial to the Colombia but you really can't go wrong with anywhere.

Cuban sandwich is my favorite and it isn't even close. Tampa is my preferred choice
