There has never been, in the history of Mankind, a woman whose beauty has been enhanced by a tattoo.

Inkies will be the oxen that pureskins use to drive them into the 21st century.

I decided, finally, that I will get some tattoos. Not sure when, but I had some ideas for a while and now I'm sure I want to. Going to be chemistry related. Goinh to get the periodic Mercury symbol on one of my upper arms (my favorite element), and a molecule of some sort on the shoulder blade. Have not decided on the chemical yet.

I'm thinking about another one this year. Not sure where but I know what the design will be.

Always spell-check before the ink touches the skin.

View Quote My comments earlier….I was thinking I would have to go crazy to get a tattoo and then you say you are going to take the plunge and get the symbol for Mercury tattooed on you. Made me chuckle in an ironic sort of way.. No offense meant. At least you are considering something intelligent. Soccer moms with devil skulls….I just don’t get it. |

I got some new ink last fall, prob gonna do some this spring. Have design I've been planning out for years that I might finally get around to getting done. It'll be a multi-session thing.

I would like to get “sic semper tyrannis” somewhere but I’m an old flabby guy so it would probably just look stupid and pathetic.

I still can't believe GoatBoy allows this kind of degeneracy on ARFCOM.

Wow. I feel badly. Mine needs a total recoloring. I guess I’ve been busy with broken windshields, broken pipes in the foundation and Dementia Joe prices.

Got my first AR in 2005, got my last tattoo in 2005. Ink budget is now $0.

Back in the early 90s, when only criminals had tattoos, I decided to get one, since I was an artist, which is similar to being a criminal... and our 10th wedding anniversary was coming up, and the gift guide for 10th anniversaries said "tattoo".
I designed it. It has my wife's name in an elegant script on a ribbon wrapped around a red rose. The ribbon continues at the bottom with the words "Donec Mors Non Separat" (the ancient Roman wedding vow: Until Death Separates Us, later amended to Till Death Do Us Part). She loved it. Years later in 2001, I was at Sturgis and I was bored, so I had another tattoo, this time on my right shoulder: an eagle head on an American flag surrounded by "Live Free or Die". Later had the names of my two sons added further below the 10th anniversary tattoo on my left shoulder, and later added my Dad's initials flanked by "1912" and "1994" because I still miss him terribly. In a short-sleeved shirt, nothing shows, and people just assume I'm normal. I am not normal. |

I have been thinking of a trash polka sleeve with a literary theme. Lots of Orwell, Mencken, and some of the founders

Remind me though. What is the chemical symbol for Meth? |
