The PD called me a couple hours ago to say, "We found your car. It's parked [a mile from hotel]." It looks like I couldn't find any close parking on Friday after work, so I must have parked way the fuck in the middle of nowhere and then forgotten that I left it so far from my usual spot. I looked for like an hour and couldn't find it. At least I have my car back, but I feel like a fucking idiot now.

Here's a fuckin herpmaderp retard mcgayhee. Got the new handguard on yesterday and now the pin in the lower wont go through the front of the upper. The rear will go the front will not. I have no fucking idea what I'm gonna do now. I even tried a few bumps with a rubber mallet. No sir.

Try and put it back on the "original" upper and the front pin wont go through. I can take the lower and snap both pins through easy peasy. I even hosed it down with some CLP to help lube it through. Ok lets start from the beginning. Hand guard aluminum I assume? Put front pin in first you should see a bit of light between the back of hand guard and lower receiver. Check the one that does fit so you can see it.Just lay it on its side. Now It should freely rock back so you can drive the rear pin through. The barrel nut is torqued in inch pounds not foot pounds.
Remember the gas tube going through it will never let it back off. So you don't need to raif on it. Over tighten this and you'll never get it to go far enough back to get the two to fit. From what I'm getting is that it will fit between the ears but just not go far enough in to drop the pin, right? |

Hope it ain’t that bad of a problem got you .The worst it could be is the upper is fucked and I buy a new colt stripped for like 140. Hopefully after work today I get some answers. Like I said its the smallest things at life that eat me up.

Palmetto has really stepped up their game. My upper and lower should be here Friday. fridge had mentioned issues with their uppers he's seen lately... can anyone deny/confirm?? I have the freedom melonite socom upper on one of my rifles, put the rear sight that nickman sent me on it and it shot great, little bit of a scuff on the upper receiver but that doesn't bother me since it's going to be a beater anyway. My buddy has a freedom middy and it shoots everything. I have a ptac upper on a beater that I cannot seem to make fail. |
